Week 35 of the 2025/26 Premier League season provided drama at the bottom end of the standings, while Arsenal moved six points clear at the top of the table thanks to a convincing win over Fulham.
The Gunners held their nerve at the Emirates to run out 3-0 winners against the Cottagers, while Tottenham gave their Premier League survival hopes a significant shot in the arm with a 2-1 win at Aston Villa.
Here is our team of the week for Gameweek 35.
Goalkeeper – Caoimhin Kelleher (Brentford)
Helping Brentford secure a 3-0 victory over relegation-threatened West Ham, Caoimhin Kelleher produced an excellent display.
The game was tighter than the scoreline might suggest and the Republic of Ireland goalkeeper made some key saves when the result was stillin the balance at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Defender – Jayden Bogle (Leeds United)
Another tireless effort from Leeds United right-back Jayden Bogle, the 25-year-old was a menace for the Burnley defence down that channel.
Providing the wonderful cross for Noah Okafor’s goal, Bogle was certainly influential in Leeds’ 3-1 win over the Clarets at Elland Road on Friday night.
Defender – Keane Lewis-Potter (Brentford)
Another important figure in the Bees’ win over the Hammers, wing-back Keane Lewis-Potter worked tirelessly down the left flank.
Helping keep the clean sheet while also providing the assist for Mikkel Damsgaard late on, it was another strong display from Lewis-Potter.
Defender – Santi Bueno (Wolverhampton Wanderers)
Scoring Wolves’ first goal since mid-March, Santi Bueno was the unlikely contributor in their 1-1 draw against Sunderland at Molineux.
Towering at the back post from a corner to score the equaliser, that goal capped an all-around solid performance from the Wolves centre-back.
Defender – Dan Burn (Newcastle United)
Cruising to a 3-1 victory over Brighton at St James’ Park, Newcastle United centre-back Dan Burn was a key figure for the Magpies.
Unmarked from a well-taken corner, Burn’s head gave Newcastle a 2-0 advantage that helped them on their way to three valuable points after a tough run for manager Eddie Howe.
Midfielder – Anton Stach (Leeds United)
Scoring one of the best goals in Week 35, Leeds United midfielder Anton Stach deserves his place in this team of the week.
Making a habit of scoring from outside the box, it was a low, long-range strike from Stach, on his weaker left foot, that gave the Whites the important opening goal in a 3-1 win over Burnley.
Midfielder – Kobbie Mainoo (Manchester United)
The hero of on Sunday for Manchester United against old rivals Liverpool, Kobbie Mainoo delivered the winning goal in a 3-2 victory for the Red Devils at Old Trafford.
Solid in the heart of midfield for the home side, Mainoo came up with the big moment in the 77th minute for the hosts.
Placing his effort in the bottom-left corner after a poor clearance, Mainoo took his effort well to land the three points that not only secured the bragging rights for United, but also their place in the Champions League next season.
Midfielder – Dominik Szoboszlai (Liverpool)
Ending up on the losing side on the day against Manchester United, Dominik Szoboszlai still produced an excellent individual performance for Liverpool that was capped off by a fine solo effort goal.
Picking up a loose pass just inside his own half, Szoboszlai almost walked his way through the United defence before slotting a calm finish past the helpless Senne Lammens.
Forward – Richarlison (Tottenham Hotspur)
Tottenham needed their big names to step up at Villa Park on Sunday and Brazilian forward Richarlison did just that.
Playing like a man possessed at times, Richarlison scored Spurs’ second goal to help them on their way to three extremely valuable points that saw the Lilywhites move out of the bottom three at the expense of London rivals West Ham.
Forward – Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Leeds United)
A player who is a candidate for one of the signings of the season as a free agent, Leeds United striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored his 12th Premier League goal of the campaign against the Clarets.
A poacher’s goal inside the box, Calvert-Lewin also provided the wonderful driving run and sublime backheel in the build-up to Noah Okafor’s goal.
Forward – Viktor Gyokeres (Arsenal)
With two goals and an assist, it’s hard to look past Arsenal frontman Viktor Gyokeres when completing this team of the week.
The Swede has had his critics at times this season, as the former Sporting Lisbon striker has needed time to settle in north London.
However, with performances like Saturday’s against Fulham, Gyokeres is showing just why the Gunners paid big money for his services.
