Crystal Palace v Manchester City Betting Tips: 7/1 Premier League Bet Builder

Looking for Crystal Palace v Manchester City betting tips? Check out our Premier League Bet Builder, expert predictions, best-value selections and latest odds.

Manchester City head to Crystal Palace on Friday night in what looks an intriguing first away game in charge for Enzo Maresca.

City – still second in the Premier League betting – came from behind very late to beat Bournemouth 2-1 last weekend but weren’t convincing across the piece and are bound to face an intimidating atmosphere at Selhurst Park.

Pierre Sage’s side lost at Everton last week but had their chances and could have taken at least a point on another day.

Here are our football tips for the 8pm kick-off in south London, producing a 7/1 Bet Builder.

Crystal Palace v Manchester City betting tips

Crystal Palace to win or draw 5/4

Both teams to score 4/6

Daniel Munoz to take 1+ shot 9/20

Marc Guehi to make 2+ tackles 2/11

Crystal Palace to win or draw

City looked very vulnerable against Bournemouth on Sunday and backing against them here makes a lot of sense.

It just feels like Maresca is going to have a lot of teething issues taking over from Pep Guardiola, with the midfield midway through some serious surgery and plenty of transition in terms of how they’re trying to play.

City only won seven of their last 15 away games of last season under Guardiola in any case.

Palace were a little unlucky not to get something from Everton and will be up for this, against a stellar opponent they have had plenty of joy against over the years.

This looks like a good time for a strong counter-attacking team to play City and the hosts should fancy their chances of taking at least a point.

Both teams to score

Maresca’s side were particularly poor defensively last week, so Palace look a good bet to at least score.

Friday’s visitors shipped an early opener to the Cherries, who looked a constant threat on the counter-attack against a midfield of Elliot Anderson and Marc Guehi that has not yet taken shape.

Palace had 11 efforts on goal in their defeat at the Hill Dickinson Stadium and have scored at least once in five of their last seven games against City.

Despite being tipped to struggle here City should score themselves, having done so in their last 17 league games.

Daniel Munoz to take 1+ shot

Munoz is one of the most offensively-minded wing-backs in the league and always poses a goal threat, particularly on the counter-attack.

He has been linked with a move away to Palace this summer but looked like his old self going forward, taking two shots.

Backing him for one more here looks a good bet considering the way he has gone against City in the past.

He missed the home game against City last season but had an effort in the clash at Selhurst Park the year before, and also had two shots in the FA Cup final at the end of that season.

Marc Guehi to make 2+ tackles

Guehi was shifted into midfield and looks set to play there again, a position where tackles are much more likely to happen.

The former Palace man made three challenges last week, so backing him at a good price for a couple more makes a lot of sense.

The 26-year-old averaged well over a tackle per game from centre-back last season, and is only likely to make more in a tough away game in a position where he will have to engage more often.

Crystal Palace v Manchester City odds

Manchester City look set to find this game hard work as they find their feet under Maresca, with the midfield in particular an area of concern.

Palace can get stuck into them here and that forms the basis of this 7/1 football betting Bet Builder.
