Manchester United v Ipswich Town Betting Tips: 10/1 Premier League Bet Builder

Manchester United are aiming for their first points of the season when they host Ipswich Town on Sunday afternoon.

Michael Carrick’s side – fifth-favourite in the Premier League betting – lost 2-0 at Hull City in the shock result of the opening Premier League weekend and were unimpressive in their performance.

Ipswich, meanwhile, can breathe a little easier after beating Sunderland in their first game ahead of this tougher one.

Here are our football tips for the 4.30pm kick-off, producing a 10/1 Bet Builder.

Manchester United v Ipswich Town betting tips

Both teams to score 4/5

Bruno Fernandes to have 4+ shots 5/4

Harry Maguire to have 1+ shots 9/20

Bruno Fernandes to make 1+ assist 11/10

Both teams to score

United looked too wobbly at Hull to believe they can keep a clean sheet here.

Michael Carrick’s side were easily bullied in their defensive third last week and come into this game having conceded in each of their final six home games of last season.

They have also scored in their last 14 home games, so the visit of Ipswich promises goals.

Town won 2-1 against Sunderland last week and, with the likes of Julio Enciso in their attack, can cause problems here.

Bruno Fernandes to have 4+ shots

Fernandes had three shots at Hull last week, and that was in a poor attacking performance.

In a home game they would expect to dominate, United’s best attacking player is bound to be in the thick of things again.

In his two homes games against relegated teams last season, Fernandes took six shots against West ham and four against Burnley – an indication of what we can expect from this type of fixture.

Harry Maguire to have 1+ shots

Maguire also looks a nice bet for a shot, having had one at Hull last Saturday.

The aerially-dominant centre-back is a huge threat from set-pieces and averaged 0.6 shots per match across every league game he played last season.

The quality of Fernandes’ delivery (more on that next) certainly helps this bet, too.

Bruno Fernandes to make 1+ assist

Fernandes broke the Premier League assist record last season, setting up 21 goals for his team-mates, so odds-against on one more looks a nice bet.

The playmaker created 10 goals in the last 10 home games of last season, as a real threat from set-pieces and open play.

Even in a poor performance last week, he made three key passes and six crosses.

Manchester United v Ipswich Town odds

Manchester United should be the dominant force in this game, but it’s best to avoid backing a home win after their dodgy start to the campaign.

Ipswich will pose a threat of their own, so shots and goals form the basis of this 10/1 football betting Bet Builder.
