The Packers, meanwhile, under QB Jordan Love, have surged lately, 3-2, coming off an impressive 31-7 win over the Chicago Bears.
Love, third in the NFL with 1,408 passing yards, for a 7.6-yard average and 10 touchdowns, versus Dallas’ secondary is a key matchup. If Green Bay can establish the run to create play-action opportunities, that could tilt the game. Love’s passing yards and touchdown props are worth watching.
Lamb versus the Packers’ secondary is another one. Dallas needs Prescott to sustain drives and convert third downs.
Watch for Lamb’s receptions and receiving yards, especially if Dallas plays from behind.

With both teams at -110, bettors backing Dallas might prefer the moneyline rather than paying -120 for just 1.5 points of protection. That 53.5-point total is significant, though; oddsmakers expect a high-scoring game. That means a focus on quarterback passing yards, receiving props and anytime touchdown markets.
Cowboys vs Packers Betting Trends
With my NFL picks, I said I wouldn’t do this again, after the Tampa debacle, but I am going to take Cowboys +1.5. The betting line has been moving toward Dallas.
Dallas has a strong offensive profile, with Prescott, Lamb, George Pickens, and Javonte Williams, while Green Bay is dealing with significant attrition up front.
DT Javon Hargrave and DT Jonathan Ford are out, while DT Anthony Campbell is questionable. CB Benjamin St-Juste is out, and CB Brandon Cisse is questionable. And remember – no Micah Parsons.
Dallas is 2-0 against the spread as an underdog this season. Plus, they’ve had the extra rest.
I also like the over 53.5, at -110. Both teams tied 40-40 last season. The Cowboys defence ranks among the worst in the NFL, while Green Bay just put up a big passing performance; Love threw for 367 yards and two touchdowns in a big win over Chicago.
Two QBs who can really air it out.
I’ll also go the player-prop route in my NFL picks: Prescott Over 275 passing yards at -115. The Dallas QB is averaging 276 yards per game, including 335 yards against Houston and 316 yards against Tampa.
With the Cowboys coming in as underdogs, that creates a more pass-happy game. Plus – the Packers haven’t faced a lot of elite quarterbacks, which Prescott is. And I keep going back to those Packers injuries.
