There are six fixtures coming up on Saturday ahead of the first international break, and we have picked out a four-fold to follow.
The third week of Premier League action begins with a London derby as Chelsea host Fulham in Saturday’s early kick-off, while Leeds and Newcastle round off the day’s play in the evening clash at Elland Road.
Elsewhere, struggling Manchester United seek their first win of the campaign against newly promoted Burnley, while unbeaten Tottenham host Bournemouth in the 15:00 matches.
We have picked out four best bets for Saturday’s Premier League action, which can be combined in a fourfold paying over 7/1.
Selections
Chelsea to score first v Fulham @ 4/9
Tottenham & over 1.5 goals v Bournemouth @ 19/20
Over 0.5 Everton goals vs Wolves @ 4/11
Newcastle or draw double chance & both teams to score v Leeds @ 6/5
Acca pays @ 7/1
Buzzing Blues can strike first
Chelsea will be full of confidence after their 5-1 victory over West Ham and can make a fast start against Fulham.
The Blues have struck first in four of the last five meetings with their west London rivals, who have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of those contests.
Cole Palmer remains a doubt after pulling up in the warm-up at the London Stadium, but his absence did little to halt the hosts’ impetus last weekend, with Joao Pedro among the goals.
Leg 1: Chelsea to score first v Fulham @ 4/9
In-form Spurs should march on
Thomas Frank has made a smooth start to life as Tottenham head coach and his side will be aiming to maintain their unbeaten start to the season when they host Bournemouth.
Spurs have added defensive resilience to complement the attacking threat of Richarlison, Mohammed Kudus and Brennan Johnson, and that quality should prove too much for the visitors.
Over 1.5 goals has landed in five of the last six meetings between the clubs and in each of Tottenham’s last ten Premier League fixtures.
Leg 2: Tottenham & over 1.5 goals v Bournemouth @ 19/20
Toffees to hit the target
Everton got their campaign up and running last weekend in their first outing at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and next travel to Molineux to face a Wolves side still seeking a first win.
Wolves’ poor defensive record is one of concern for Vitor Pereira – they conceded 32 goals at home last season and have already shipped five in two games this term.
Leg 3: Over 0.5 Everton goals vs Wolves @ 4/11
Magpies’ experience may make the difference
Elland Road could provide its usual intimidating atmosphere, but Leeds’ confidence took a hammering with last week’s 5-0 defeat at Arsenal and a midweek EFL Cup exit to Sheffield Wednesday.
Newcastle’s intensity and top-flight experience may prove decisive, and while the Whites could still find the net with home support behind them, the Magpies look well placed to take at least a point.
Leg 4: Newcastle or draw double chance & both teams to score v Leeds @ 6/5
