Our best 2026/27 Premier League outright betting tips include expert picks for the title race, Champions League positions, relegation and value picks.
The Premier League returns with perhaps as much churn among the top clubs as ever.
Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea all start the season with new managers, while Roberto De Zerbi and Michael Carrick still feel relatively fresh as Tottenham and Manchester United bosses.
Elsewhere, Newcastle United, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, Fulham and Ipswich Town are also under new management, meaning nine of the 20 clubs have undergone change in the dugout.
Arsenal lead the way in the betting to retain their title in the Premier League betting, while Hull City are a very short price to be relegated straight back into the Championship.
We work through it all in our Premier League outright betting tips for 2026/27.
Premier League Winner Tips
Arsenal lead the way in the football betting and it isn’t hard to see why.
The Gunners, reigning champions, are the only one of the favourites that seem settled heading into the new season, head coach Mikel Arteta with his feet very much under the table and with a couple of impressive new signings in their ranks.
They blew Manchester City away in the Community Shield, too – an ominous start – but at 5/4 may be a little too short to back.
William Saliba is out for months, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka are surely still exhausted, and it shouldn’t be forgotten that they spent long spells of last season not looking as impressive as their eventual title suggests.
City are bound to regress under Enzo Maresca, while Liverpool and Ando Iraola need time, which could open the door for Chelsea.
Xabi Alonso is an elite coach and has the luxury of playing just one game a week while rivals slug it out in Europe.
Morgan Rogers is an exciting signing, Cole Palmer needn’t play as often, while Joao Pedro is close to breaking out as a world-class centre-forward.
The issue at Stamford Bridge has always been that there is too much upset and noise around the team; Alonso can bring some calm and stitch together what is clearly a talented squad.
They look a good bet each-way at 8/1 .
Premier League Top Five Betting Tips
Five teams – Arsenal, City Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United – are all heavy odds-on to finish in the top five, which is likely to secure a Champions League position again.
We have to take a swing at the team most likely to disrupt that group, then, and a fair bet has to be Tottenham.
Spurs narrowly escaped relegation from last season’s shocking season but were a considerably better team under De Zerbi, who inherited a team in terrible form and picked up the ninth-most points in the league.
Having had a summer with his squad, during which he has added real quality to defence and midfield, they should go close – particularly now they’re extraordinary injury crisis has settled.
De Zerbi can get the best out of James Maddison and Xavi Simons in front of Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes, while he has bolstered his backline with Jan Paul van Hecke and Marco Senesi.
Most of all, though, Spurs also benefit from not having any European football. In a post-World Cup season, that could be a huge advantage.
They are available at 15/8 to finish fifth or higher.
Premier League Top Half Betting Tips
The difference between a top-half and bottom-finish half is so minimal in the Premier League that this is a tough market to bet on, but there is one team certainly worth keeping an eye on.
Leeds United were excellent in the second half of last season, picking up the eighth-most points in 2026 after switching to a back-three system that suited them brilliantly.
The industry of Ethan Ampadu and Anton Stach in midfield, the pace and delivery of Jayden Bogle and Gabriel Gudmundsson in wide areas and the potency of Noah Okafor and Dominic Calvert-Lewin upfront propelled Daniel Farke’s side up the table, well away from danger.
Indeed, they only lost five of their last 25 games of the season.
They have a really solid spine and play the type of physical football the Premier League demands, adding to their squad impressively with James Trafford in goal and attacking midfielder Harry Wilson.
Defender Tarik Muharemovic is also highly-rated and there is no reason why Leeds can’t keep doing their thing, forcing their way into the top half in the process at 9/4 .
Premier League Relegation Betting Tips
All three promoted sides are odds-on to go down and, truthfully, it’s hard to disagree.
It was not a vintage edition of the Championship in 2025/26 and each team needs major surgery to stand a chance, though all three are giving it a go in the transfer market.
In betting terms, we need to be on the side most likely to be caught if any of the trio can adapt to the level – and Fulham look a good candidate.
We may be about to find out just how good a job Marco Silva was doing in West London, after the impressive coach was pinched by Benfica this summer.
He has been replaced by Alvaro Arbeloa, off the back of an underwhelming stint as Real Madrid interim boss, and the recruitment strategy seems to be to provide him with his favourite youngsters from the Spanish capital, Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios arriving for a combined fee of over £40 million.
Shea Charles is a good addition from Southampton but there have to be questions as to whether Arbeloa can hit the ground running with a squad that has also lost senior players Issa Diop, Sasa Lukic, Wilson, and Raul Jimenez.
They may not all have been first-teamers but this could be a Cottagers outfit that is a little wet behind the ears.
They are 5/1 to drop.
Premier League Outright Value Betting Tips
The bet on Leeds to finish in the top half at 9/4 looks a good one – they need only maintain their level from last season and could be good for an improvement.
In another market, we have to be on Hull City to finish bottom at 1/1 .
It may sound cruel, but the Tigers were a bog-standard Championship team that scraped into the play-offs and ended up winning them.
They have not been as active in the market as their rivals and are as likely to be a fish out of water as any team at this level for some time.
