Leicester, Spurs and Man City should all pick up a comfortable three points against relegation candidates, plus two other Premier League tips
4/7 – Manchester City to beat Norwich
The early kick-off on Saturday sees Norwich host a Man City side who, despite their inconsistent form, are still in the hunt for the Premier League title.
Manuel Pellegrini’s team ended a run of three consecutive defeats with an emphatic 4-0 win over Aston Villa last weekend, although the thrashing of the league’s bottom side was hardly unexpected.
With the Manchester derby to come, the Citizens will show no mercy to a team who have picked up just one point from their last nine games.
Already with the second-worst defence in the league having conceded 54 times this season, that number is sure to increase as City worsen the Canaries’ relegation fears.
12/5 – Bournemouth and Swansea to draw
After being pre-season favourites for relegation, an excellent string of results has taken Bournemouth 11 points clear of the drop zone.
Like the Cherries, their opponents on Saturday, Swansea City, have also banked six points from their last two outings to pull further away from the bottom three.
With both teams in good form, neither side will want to see their good run of form come to an end with defeat this weekend.
Expect a stalemate in this one, then, as the two sides look to keep their slow climb towards safety ticking over with a point.
21/10 – Stoke and Southampton to draw
Stoke have recovered from a poor run by winning three of their last four games – conceding just three goals during that time – to move within touching distance of a European place.
Meanwhile, Southampton – their visitors this weekend – have lost just one of the last nine and could leapfrog the Potters with victory at the Britannia.
With two teams who are equally matched in both form and quality, a draw looks the most likely outcome here.
9/20 – Spurs to beat Aston Villa
Tottenham remain second in the table despite claiming just one point from their last two games.
Before those consecutive London derbies against West Ham and Arsenal, however, Mauricio Pochettino’s side has won their last six on the bounce.
Having conceded just 24 goals in 29 games this season, they also boast the division’s best defensive record.
By contrast, Villa have conceded more than twice that number with 55, 15 of which have come in their last 4 games.
With just three victories all season, Remi Garde’s side look destined for the drop, and appear a certainty to suffer their 20th defeat of the season this weekend.
4/7 – Leicester to beat Newcastle
Things could not be going better for Leicester City, who stretched their lead at the top to five points last weekend with a 1-0 win over Watford.
Newcastle, on the other hand, are a side in turmoil having lost five of their last six games and conceded nine goals in their last three.
Facing the division’s top scorers with a formidable tally of 52 goals in 29 games, the Magpies’ horror story is likely to continue this weekend while the Foxes fairytale gets closer to a happy ending.
