Our best bets for Monday's Premier League clash between Manchester United and Brentford include a match result tip and an assist for a PFA Player of the Year frontrunner.
Michael Carrick continued his excellent audition to become Manchester United’s permanent manager by leading the Red Devils to a 1-0 win at Chelsea last Saturday and he will be hoping to again impress the board on Monday.
United host Brentford at Old Trafford but they will not be given an easy ride by the Bees, who are still firmly in the mix for European football despite a slight dip in form.
An end-to-end encounter is expected at the Theatre of Dreams and it is one that the Premier League’s most in-form player should play a big part in.

Hosts heading for another home victory
Having been beaten 3-1 by Brentford in September, revenge will be on Manchester United’s mind on Monday and revenge is what they should get.
That disappointing defeat in London came under Ruben Amorim, and to say they have improved since Carrick took over would be an almighty understatement.
The Red Devils have won eight of their 12 games under their interim boss and a record of five victories in six home matches including successes against Manchester City and Aston Villa, they should prove too strong for Brentford, who have beaten only Burnley in their last seven Premier League outings.
Leg 1: Manchester United to win @ 7/8
Fernandes fancied to continue fine form
Key to Manchester United’s upturn in form has been the brilliance of Bruno Fernandes, who is now a genuine contender to be crowned PFA Player of the Year.
The Portuguese playmaker has been sensational since Amorim’s departure, notching a mammoth 10 assists in 12 games to make it 18 for the season, and he should add to that impressive tally on Monday.
Brentford’s defence has looked shaky recently, conceding at least twice in five of their last eight games, and Fernandes may very well set up another goal to move even closer to breaking the Premier League record for assists in a season, which currently stands at 20.
Leg 2: Bruno Fernandes 1+ assist @ 19/10
Dangerous Dalot could let fly at will
Fernandes isn’t the only Portuguese Red Devil capable of causing Brentford problems and Diogo Dalot’s willingness to fly forward from right-back should be on full show.
Dalot has clearly been given licence to get forward by Carrick and he has been a threat ever since, averaging a shot every 76 minutes over his past 10 United appearances.
The Portuguese defender should get plenty of opportunities as the Bees are still without first-choice left-back Rico Henry and another shot seems likely for the marauding Red Devil.
Leg 3: Diogo Dalot 1+ shot @ 3/5
Thiago to trouble United again
At the other end, it would be a major surprise if Igor Thiago failed to register a shot on target.
United’s defenders failed to cope with the big Brazilian in the reverse fixture and his brace in that clash will give him plenty of motivation ahead of Monday’s meeting at Old Trafford.
Thiago’s 21 Premier League goals can only be bettered by Erling Haaland and 20 shots on target in his last 15 Brentford appearances proves what a danger he is for defences.
Leg 4: Igor Thiago 1+ shot on target @ 17/40
