Weekend FiveFold: This Week’s Bets Include Possible Bet of the Season

Watford Amongst Teams that can Beat the Bookies

Another round of games is upon us and it looks as though some of the best bets in recent months can be had on this week’s fixture list. Which teams should we be backing?

Spurs to Show Bouncebackability against Struggling Leicester

Spurs were very poor at Old Trafford last weekend but they’ve bounced back from disappointing results well this season (won 2 games on the bounce following their League Cup Final loss) and they look set to do so again at home to Leicester. Spurs have won 4 and drawn 2 of their last 6 at home and they face a Leicester team that sits bottom of the form table having picked up just 2 points from their last 6 games. They’ve only won 1 in 10 away from home and that record is likely to worsen yet again.

4/7 – Spurs to beat Leicester

Watford Look One of the Bets of the Season

Watford are still very much on for automatic promotion. They’ve won 5 and drawn 1 of their last 6 league games. It would take a good team to get a result at Vicarage Road and at this time Ipswich simply aren’t. They’ve been dreadful on the road recently, with 5 losses from their last 6 games. To see Watford at even money for this game seems too good to be true.

EVS – Watford to beat Ipswich

Best Bet in League One is the Ever So Solid Crewe

In League One, Crewe can end a losing run at home to Oldham. The Railwaymen have been solid at Gresty Road this season and come into this match with 4 wins, a draw and a loss from their last 6 games. Oldham have been in okay form recently, but away from home they are not a good side, losing 4 of their last 6. Considering those stats it’s hugely surprising to see Crewe at almost 2/1.

9/5 – Crewe to beat Oldham

Simeone’s Side Bankers at Home to Getafe

It always helps to have at least one banker in a fivefold and Atletico Madrid look just that. They are not in the best of form overall but they remain one of the best home sides in Europe, backed up by a recent record of 5 wins and 1 draw. Their opponents here, Getafe, tend to either win or lose (3 wins, 3 losses from their last 6 games) and away from home they’ve lost 4 of their last 6.

2/7 – Atletico Madrid to beat Getafe

Rossoneri a Nice Price to Take Care of Poor Cagliari

AC Milan are not the force of old. In fact it’s quite sad where they have slipped to in recent years, but they still have some top quality players and they look a decent price to win at home to Cagliari on Saturday. Cagliari have not won in 8 away games in Serie A and sit in the bottom 3.

4/5 – AC Milan to beat Cagliari

A £10 acca on Spurs, Watford, Crewe, Atletico Madrid and AC Milan all to win pays approx £213.82.
