Arsenal v Man City Betting Tips: 11/1 Community Shield Bet Builder

Looking for Arsenal v Man City betting tips? Check out our Community Shield Bet Builder, expert predictions, best-value selections and latest odds.

Arsenal take on Manchester City in the Community Shield on Sunday as the 2026/27 season gets under way at the top level.

This has become the defining rivalry at the top of English football over the last few seasons – with the two teams at the top of the Premier League betting – and, while this curtain-raiser is not the be all and end all, a competitive encounter is sure to await.

Here are our football betting tips for the 3pm kick-off at the Principality Stadium, producing an 11/1 Bet Builder.

Arsenal v Man City tips

Both teams to score 4/6

Antoine Semenyo to score 2/1

Eberechi Eze to have a shot on target 4/5

Phil Foden to have a shot on target 4/5

Both teams to score

These teams tend to serve up watchable encounters and this one should be no different.

City beat the Gunners 2-0 in the Carabao Cup final in March, but last season’s league games finished 1-1 and 2-1, while the 2024/25 clashes ended 2-2 and 5-1.

The Community Shield generally features goals, too, with both teams netting in eight of the last 10 and all of the last four – a run that includes a 1-1 draw between these teams in 2023.

Antoine Semenyo to score

Erling Haaland has only just started his pre-season after the World Cup and is unlikely to start here, so we’re looking elsewhere for a City goalscorer.

Their next-biggest threat is Antoine Semenyo, who netted the FA Cup final winner against Chelsea in May after a fine start to life in Manchester last season.

The forward scored 12 goals between January and May out of a total of 21 across the whole campaign, and is an obvious pick to net in Haaland’s absence.

Eberechi Eze to have a shot on target

Eze has made his return to pre-season in the last few days and is a likely starter in midfield.

If he is in Mikel Arteta’s XI, his liking for a shot from range means he is a nice pick in this market.

The England international posted 0.6 shots per target last season, a decent tally, and though he could start deeper as Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi get back up to speed, that position could allow him to let fly from distance more often.

Phil Foden to have a shot on target

Foden has had a summer off and has played a full role in Enzo Maresca’s pre-season as the number 10.

The attacking midfielder has posted close to two shots per game across the last two seasons, that tally sitting at 0.6 for shots on target, and if this as open as expected, he should have opportunities to work the Gunners goalkeeper here.

The 26-year-old will not want to miss the opportunity to cement this position over Rayan Cherki ahead of the Premier League campaign and his potshot tendencies mean this is worth getting on side.

Arsenal v Man City Bet Builder odds

The overall Bet Builder comes out at 11/1 in the football betting and is reliant on it being an open, entertaining game.

Matches between these two tend to produce goals and with relatively little on the line, let’s hope for just that.
