Premier League tips: A 14/1 Bet Builder for Chelsea v Liverpool

Henry Hardwicke's tips for the champions' trip to Stamford Bridge on Sunday include plenty of goals and a card for a Chelsea midfielder.

Liverpool’s title parade heads for Stamford Bridge on Sunday and it’s an interesting betting heat.

The Premier League champions are 21/10 shots to win in west London and that would appear a big price on the face of it. However, motivation has to come into play and Arne Slot’s side have little to play for with the title already in the bag.

On the other hand, Chelsea are in the battle for a top-five finish and a place in next season’s Champions League and the Blues will be going all out for three points at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are 11/10 in the Premier League betting on home turf and the draw is available at 11/4.

Moises Caicedo to be carded 7/4

Goals can flow at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea will have the edge on Liverpool in terms of motivation on Sunday, but it’s hard to back the Blues at 11/10 to beat the champions.

Going for goals at Stamford Bridge looks the better value play. Chelsea have seen five of their last six games eclipse the 2.5 mark and the Blues are fresh from a 4-1 hammering of Djurgardens on Thursday night.

Of course, Liverpool are a far superior side to Chelsea’s Conference League opposition, but the Reds have seen 15 goals scored in their last four matches and Arne Slot’s men have conceded in recent matches against relegated Southampton and struggling West Ham.

Caicedo a card magnet

Moises Caicedo has been shown ten yellow cards in the Premier League this season and six of those cautions have come in away matches.

Including international matches, he has 15 bookings this term and the Ecuadorian went on a run of six yellows in seven matches earlier in the campaign.

The 23-year-old will be expected to perform anchoring duties in Chelsea’s midfield and the combative Ecuadorian could find himself in the referee’s book.

In-form Fernandez to contribute

Enzo Fernandez cost Chelsea £106m when he arrived at Stamford Bridge in 2023 and the Blues would have hoped that the Argentinian would carry them to Premier League success.

It hasn’t quite played out that way for the World Cup winner, but the 24-year-old has started to flourish in a more forward midfield role and the former Benfica man has been Chelsea’s spark this season.

Fernandez has contributed five goals and seven assists in 32 Premier League appearances this term and the 24-year-old looks capable of making an impact against Liverpool.
