Chelsea and Tottenham meet at Stamford Bridge on Saturday for the resumption of one of the Premier League’s best rivalries.

The Blues – third-favourites in the Premier League betting – have won their last two matches after recovering from a mini-wobble under Xabi Alonso.

Tottenham, meanwhile, picked up their first league win of the season against Coventry on Monday

Here are our football tips for the 5.30pm kick-off, producing an 18/1 Bet Builder.

Chelsea v Tottenham betting tips

Joao Pedro to score 10/11

James Maddison to score or assist 6/4

Cole Palmer to take 4+ shots 17/20

Sandro Tonali to take 2+ shots 11/8

Joao Pedro to score

Pedro is probably the second-best centre-forward in the Premier League at the moment, only trailing Erling Haaland.

Only Haaland has scored more top-flight goals so far this campaign, with the Brazilian netting in every home league game.

Tottenham have conceded three goals at Brentford and Liverpool already this season, so will give up chances.

James Maddison to score or assist

Maddison looked very lively in his return to the starting XI on Monday and can continue that form here.

The attacking midfielder scored a stunning goal, whipped into the top corner, against Coventry, and was a constant creative threat in the final third.

Chelsea’s weakness has been in defence, with only five teams conceding more goals in the Premier League so far this season.

Cole Palmer to take 4+ shots

Palmer returned to his best going forward at Everton, firing off six shots in the 2-0 win.

His position as the right-sided number 10 suits him perfectly, with more efforts to be expected from his left foot here.

He has had three or more efforts in five of his seven league appearances, landing four or more in three of them, so he is worth backing against a wobbly Spurs defence.

Sandro Tonali to take 2+ shots

Tonali fired off two shots against Coventry on Monday, the fourth time he has done so in seven league games this season.

That mark has also been passed against Brentford and Aston Villa, so he can also enjoy himself against Chelsea.

The Italian is Spurs’ main man in midfield and can benefit from the numerical advantage opponents tend to enjoy against the Blues in the engine room.

Chelsea v Tottenham odds

Chelsea are understandably favourites here, but it is a tough game to call between two teams who are certainly better going forward than they are at the back.

If Pedro and Maddison can do the business in front of goal, we have a chance of landing an 18/1 football betting Bet Builder.
