Premier League tips: An 18/1 acca for Saturday’s games

Our selections for Saturday's top-flight matches include a high-scoring game at Villa Park and a goal for Ipswich's star striker.

There are only four Premier League games taking place on Saturday this weekend, with four being played on Sunday due to teams’ midweek involvement in European matches, while Manchester City’s Friday-night clash with Wolves also shortened Saturday’s schedule.

The four games left should still throw up plenty of drama, though, and Arsenal’s visit from Bournemouth is the highlight of the day’s action.

We have put together a four-fold Premier League betting accumulator to consider which, if successful, would return at 18/1.

Saturday Premier League tips

Aston Villa v Fulham: Both teams to score /

Everton v Ipswich: Liam Delap anytime goalscorer /

Leicester v Southampton: Over 2.5 goals /

Arsenal v Bournemouth: Bournemouth to win or draw /

Both teams to score in Aston Villa v Fulham

Aston Villa’s focus is now entirely on finishing in the top five of the Premier League as, just 11 days on from their Champions League exit, they were routed 3-0 by Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi-finals last Saturday.

The Villans may need to win all of their remaining games to secure Champions League football again, though, with six teams battling it out for four places and Saturday’s visit from Fulham may not be entirely straightforward.

The Cottagers are just six points behind Villa, beat new champions Liverpool last month and they were extremely unlucky in the reverse fixture, when they missed a penalty, scored an own goal and had a man sent off in a 3-1 defeat at Craven Cottage.

Fulham have netted in seven of their last eight away games and with Villa rocked by their cup exit both teams to score could land for the fourth straight head-to-head.

Liam Delap to score v Everton

David Moyes’ excellent start on his return to Everton has seemingly fizzled out, with the Toffees winning just one of their last nine games and losing their last two.

The Merseysiders are struggling to give Goodison Park the send-off it deserves, failing to win any of their last five home matches, and, having conceded in each of their last six on their own patch, relegated Ipswich could find some rare joy on their travels.

The Tractor Boys can play without pressure now their relegation has been confirmed and top scorer Liam Delap could add to his tally of 12 goals as a result.

Everton were run ragged by Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson last week and Delap, who boasts a similar amount of pace and power to the Senegalese striker, could be the latest forward to terrorise the Toffees’ defence.

Over 2.5 goals in Leicester v Southampton

On the surface, this is a match that not even the fans of the clubs will want to watch. Both Leicester and Southampton looked doomed from the start of the campaign and have already been relegated.

However, the pair’s last three meetings have produced a combined 15 goals, with five being netted in each one, and there could be some rare excitement at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

Four of Leicester’s last six games and eight of the Saints’ last 10 have gone over 2.5 goals and, with Jamie Vardy looking to shine on one of his final appearances as a Foxes player and interim boss Simon Rusk bidding to impress the Southampton hierarchy, this relegated pair could go on the front foot and put on a show.

Bournemouth to win or draw v Arsenal

After being defeated 1-0 by PSG at the Emirates, Arsenal have an uphill battle if they are to reach a first Champions League final in 19 years and their focus on next week’s second leg could open the door for Bournemouth to secure a positive result in the capital.

Mikel Arteta may rest some of his key men against the Cherries and Andoni Iraola’s side are more than strong enough to take advantage of any distraction, having beaten the Gunners 2-0 in the reverse fixture.

Bournemouth were unlucky to draw with Manchester United last time, with Evanilson’s red card, which has since been overturned, causing them to surrender a 1-0 lead late on.

That result did, however, extend the Cherries’ unbeaten run to four games and with Evanilson available, they have the firepower to hurt a rotated Arsenal side, wit the Gunners winless in their last three games at the Emirates.
