Five-Fold Acca: Sunderland to struggle and relegation rivals to prosper

Black Cats will run out of luck on Saturday

There are a number of crunch games at the foot of the Premier League table on Saturday and a huge Championship play-off clash. Here are our tips to win big on five matches.

It is set to be a tough day for Sunderland on Saturday as they travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton.

The Black Cats may have ground out a win there last season, but that was the first time they have triumphed over the blue half of Merseyside since a League Cup victory in 1998.

They have conquered the Toffees just twice in their last 23 meetings.

Everton may have been beaten last time out against Aston Villa but they have been in great form over the last couple of months and are great value this weekend at 5/6.

Leicester are fast becoming the story of the Premier League season as they rise from the dead at the foot of the table.

Five wins in their last six have dragged them out of the relegation zone, and they are now in pole position to survive.

In comparison, Southampton have dropped off recently with one win in their last five, as well as defeats to Sunderland and Stoke.

The Saints are also struggling with injuries with the quartet of Schneiderlin, Forster, Tadic and Mane all out. The Foxes are on a roll and look unmissable at 6/4.

Hull can drag themselves away from trouble this weekend as well with victory over Burnley.

The Clarets are all but down now, having suffered four straight 1-0 defeats, highlighting their inability to score.

Hull are hardly free scoring themselves, but with two wins in three they have the momentum. They are undoubtedly value against the league’s bottom club at 10/11.

At this point of the season there is often the question of motivation for some teams and that will be crucial as Aston Villa host West Ham.

The Villains know victory will all but secure Premier League survival and allow them to concentrate on the FA Cup final, the Hammers have little or nothing to play for.

Villa have two wins in three compared to West Ham’s two in 10 so we are backing Tim Sherwood’s side at 10/11.

The Championship play-offs have served up an Old Farm derby this weekend as Ipswich host Norwich in the first leg of the first semi-final.

The Canaries have beaten the Tractor Boys on each of their last four meetings, their two wins this season coming without conceding a goal.

Alex Neil’s side score more, concede less and have more momentum behind them; they look a cracking price at 6/4 for the win at Portman Road.
