The money list: Our 7 best bets for the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth

Having brought in a Betway Boost a fortnight ago, Molinari again leads our top picks for the week...

Francesco Molinari – {ODDS:160050011:16/1}

Molinari brought in our Betway Boost a fortnight ago, and is primed for another successful weekend here.

The Italian is in good form, with four top-25s in his last six starts, including sixth at the Players and seventh at the Arnold Palmer.

Statistically, he’s having an excellent season, ranking fifth in the PGA Tour in total shots gained, sixth from tee to green, first in approach play and first in driving accuracy.

With a fine record of four top 10s his last five starts at Wentworth, Molinari simply has to be backed.

Luke Donald – {ODDS:160050138:40/1}

Donald is always worth backing at Wentworth.

The former world No. 1 won this event in both 2011 and 2012, and finished inside the top three on four occasions between 2008 and 2014.

He’s not playing particularly well at the moment, having missed three consecutive cuts on the PGA Tour.

The 39-year-old did finish second at the RBC Heritage in April, though.

A proven winner – particularly at this course – he is worth a bet at this price.

Pablo Larrazabal – {ODDS:160050140:50/1}

Larrazabal has put together a nice run of form, with finishes of 13th or better in three consecutive events.

He finished a shot behind in third at the China Open in his last start – a tournament he really should have won, given that he led at the halfway stage.

The Spaniard struggled in his first few appearances at Wentworth, but has turned that around by placing inside the top 12 in three of his last four starts at the course.

There’s plenty of value in backing him to earn his fifth career European Tour win.

Julian Quesne – {ODDS:160050312:125/1}

World No. 233 Quesne is becoming something of a Wentworth specialist.

He finished eighth here in 2015 and fourth a year later.

The Frenchman missed the cut in his last start at the Rocco Forte Open and has not been in fantastic form, although he did place a respectable 18th in China in April.

Quesne is a two-time winner on the European Tour, and is worth a punt as a big outsider.

Best of the rest

Justin Rose has twice finished second at Wentworth in the past 10 years and should now be over his Masters hangover.

Back the Englishman to beat Henrik Stenson, who missed four consecutive cuts before finishing 16th at the Players, at {ODDS:160051542:5/6}.

Martin Kaymer finished seventh at this event last year, and has six top-20s here since 2008.

Back him to beat Thomas Pieters, who has never finished better than 27th at Wentworth and has played just once since the Masters, at {ODDS:160051549:1/1}.

Chris Wood won here last year and finished fourth the year before, and picked up a fourth place in his last start at the China Open.

Back him to beat Tommy Fleetwood, who has one Wentworth top-10 in the past five years, at {ODDS:160051556:1/1}.
