Having earned a win in their World Cup Group C opener, Scotland go in search of a second when they take on Morocco on Friday.
Scotland head into the second round of Group C matches at the top of the four-team section and they have put themselves in with a great chance of fulfilling their dreams of reaching the knockout stages of the World Cup for the first time.
A John McGinn goal was enough to give them a 1-0 win over Haiti, but they have only cleared what will be regarded as the easiest hurdle, with matches against Morocco and Brazil still to come.
Those two played out a 1-1 draw in their opener on Saturday and the Africa Cup of Nations winners will fancy their chances of gaining the win that would put them in a prime position to progress into the last 32.
We’ve analysed the stats and browsed the World Cup betting market for a Bet Builder for this match which pays out at 8/1 if it comes in.

Corners could be scarce
Both teams know that a positive result in Boston would leave them in a great position to reach the knockout stages, so they are likely to go on the front foot. However, that may not necessarily result in a host of corners in this key game.
Scotland averaged just 4.5 corners per match during their qualifying campaign and they had just three of the seven that were forced during their opener against Haiti.
Morocco earned an average of 5.57 per match when they claimed the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year, but they had just two in the 1-1 draw with Brazil, so it is worth chancing that there will be eight or fewer in Friday’s meeting.
Leg 1: Under 9.5 corners @ 8/15
Saibari looks to have his eye in
Morocco forward Ismael Saibari got his tournament off to an excellent start when he netted after 21 minutes of the opening game against Brazil to build on a strong season in the Netherlands with PSV Eindhoven.
He scored 15 goals in the Eredivisie in the 2025-26 campaign and was also on target twice in a recent 4-0 friendly victory against Madagascar when he played just the opening 45 minutes.
Saibari’s goal was one of three attempts on goal against the Group C favourites, and opportunities could be more plentiful against the Scots, so there looks to be a good chance he could add to his tally.
Leg 2: Ismael Saibari to score at any time @ 21/10
McTominay makes the Scots tick
Midfielder Scott McTominay has turned into a top-level performer since joining Napoli and he should continue to drive Steve Clarke’s team forward.
The former Manchester United man scored 10 goals in Serie A in the 2025-26 season, and with two shots in the win over Haiti, he should be able to build on that and at least test the Moroccan keeper.
Leg 3: Scott McTominay to have a shot on target @ 19/20
