Sunderland to face another Hammering

The Hammers may be without a win in 7 games, but even a new manager won’t be enough to stop Sunderland’s fall.

It was bad news for Gus Poyet this week as he became the latest Premier League manager to get the boot. But Advocaat won’t be pulling off any miracles with his newly inherited side; the change in manager has come far too late. The Black Cats have fallen in to the same trap that Norwich City did last year and the stats say that the downward spiral looks set to continue.

1)      The Irons have won 10 games this season in comparison to Sunderland’s 4. Sam Allardyce’s side are 5/6 to win the tie.

2)      In their last match against Aston Villa, Sunderland only managed 2 shots on target and enjoyed only 40% of the possession.

3)       Away from home, the Black Cats have only notched 11 goals in total. The Hammers have hit 21 goals at home. The London side are 7/4 to win to nil.

4)      Sakho has found the net 11 times for United this season. He is 7/2 to score first

5)      West Ham have scored an average of 2.62 goals per game.

6)      West Ham have scored nearly 60% of their goals in the last 45 minutes. It is 11/10 for the second half to be the highest scoring.

7)      Allardyce’s men have netted first in 12 of their games this season. They are 11/20 to score first.

8)      Nenê has been a prolific goal scorer throughout his career, scoring over 150 goals in a 16 year career. It’s 6/5 for the Brazilian to net anytime.
