Here are Adam Drury‘s football tips for the League Two play-off semi-final first leg between Tranmere v Forest Green on Friday.

Forest Green to win or draw

Tranmere won seven consecutive matches in February and March to get into the play-off positions, but have won just one of seven since.

Forest Green have avoided defeat in eight of their last 10 matches, including a 1-0 win in this fixture in April, and have the second-best away record in League Two.

Under 2.5 goals

Tranmere have failed to score in four of their last seven games, netting just once in two of the other three.

They’ve not conceded more than once in eight matches at Prenton Park, so should keep things relatively tight.

Neither of last season’s two semi-final first legs passed this mark and this game shouldn’t buck that trend.

Oliver Banks to be carded

Banks has picked up 14 yellow cards this season, 12 of which have come in League Two.

An opposition midfielder has been booked in six of Forest Green’s last seven matches, and he is the most likely to extend that run.

Gavin Gunning to be carded

Gunning has picked up two yellow cards this season, including one in each of his last two matches.

Seven of those cards have come away from home, while four of them came against top-seven opposition.
