Here are Will Rook‘s football tips for Newport v Mansfield on Thursday night.
Newport to win to nil {ODDS:416456126:3/1}
Newport come into the play-offs in better form than any other side, having taken 22 points from their last 10 games.
The Exiles have dropped just four points in a seven-game unbeaten run at home and have conceded two league goals in their last 11 matches at Rodney Parade.
Mansfield have lost their last three and could still be dealing with the disappointment of losing the last automatic promotion spot to MK Dons on the final day.
Draw at half-time {ODDS:416456029:1/1}
Newport have been level at the break in nine of their last 15 home games in all competitions.
The tension of a play-off first leg won’t change that.
Jamille Matt to score {ODDS:417246322:19/4}
Matt scored the goal to secure Newport’s place in the play-offs, equalising in the 87th-minute of a 1-1 draw at Morecambe.
That was the 29-year-old’s third goal in four games, and 20th of the season.
Neal Bishop to be carded
Bishop loves a tackle and is always a good bet to be carded.
The 37-year-old midfielder has been issued with 12 yellows and one red in 47 appearances this season.
