Plymouth to beat Walsall
Plymouth’s recovery continued with a 2-1 win at home to Coventry last weekend, leaving them level on points with safety.
That was the Pilgrims’ third straight league victory, while they have won three and drawn one of their previous five matches at Home Park.
Walsall impressed in a 3-0 win away to Gillingham last Saturday, but that was only their first victory in eight matches and they had earned just two points in their previous six league games.
Lincoln to beat Yeovil
Lincoln’s 1-0 win over Grimsby in Saturday’s early kick-off maintained their three-point lead over Bury at the top of League Two.
That victory followed a 2-2 draw away Swindon, despite playing the final 35 minutes with just nine men, and means the Imps have lost just one of their last 11 league games.
Relegation-threatened Yeovil have won just two of their last 14 home games in all competitions.
Bury to beat Oxford
Bury won their fifth straight game in all competitions at the weekend, coming from behind to beat play-off chasers Forest Green away.
That result followed a 4-3 victory at home to League Two promotion rivals MK Dons and a 4-2 win away to League One Accrington in the previous EFL Trophy round.
The Shakers also beat Fleetwood in the group stage of this season’s competition, and they are a decent price against Oxford, who are just one place above the League One relegation zone and without an away win in six.
Sunderland to beat Manchester City U21s
Sunderland have lost just two of their 19 games in all competitions at the Stadium of Light this season.
The Black Cats won a Tyne-and-Wear derby of sorts in the previous round of the EFL Trophy, beating Newcastle U21s 4-0 a fortnight ago.
They have continued to take the competition seriously, with first-teamers like Bryan Oviedo, Luke O’Nien and Chris Maguire featuring, and have to be backed against a youth team.
