#BetYourWay – The best of your requests

Last week, Betway asked football fans across the country for the bets you wanted to see the most. Here are a selection of our favourites...

To celebrate the start of the new football season, we launched #BetYourWay – a new feature that enabled you, the supporters, to create the bets you wanted to see.

So from 9am-6pm last Thursday – via tweeting us @Betway and using the above hashtag – we received a myriad of requests ranging throughout all the leagues.

We were impressed with the selections and, as promised, they were made and available to bet on through our website.

Here are some of our favourites:

Jose Mourinho to wear a suit for every Premier League fixture (@harrymadley6)

One down, 37 to go. The Chelsea manager did look a little hot under the collar after seeing his side held at home to Swansea, mind you.

Olivier Giroud to score more headers than Diego Costa this Premier League season (@gcreid)

An intriguing bet between the two top marksman at London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea.

Both failed to get on the scoresheet at the weekend, though, and endured frustrating days as their sides lost and drew respectively.

5 or more penalties on the opening weekend of the Football League (@pricead)

An interesting choice, but one that was always likely considering there were 36 Football League fixtures taking place.

The eagerness of players looking to impress in their first game for three months and the fatigue-inducing warm weather was always likely to increase the chances rash tackles, too.

Eight penalties were given in total and five were scored.

Brighton to have the best defensive record in the Championship (@TypicalJones)

The Seagulls enjoyed a perfect start – keeping a clean sheet in their 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest.

Grimsby to win the National League with 100 or more points (@LouthBigDog)

Presumably put on by an optimistic – or demanding – fan. It is a big ask for the Mariners – even more so after their 2-2 draw at Kidderminster Harriers.

Bromley to be the top promoted club in the National League (@DarranPearce)

A 3-1 victory at home to Wrexham was the perfect start for the National League side.

Tamworth to go the whole National North season unbeaten at home (@clive_rob@cree)

The dream’s still alive for the Staffordshire club after their 1-0 victory against North Ferriby United.

Just 20 more to go.

Karim Benzema to join Arsenal in this transfer window (@konstantinosP_)

Gunners fans will be hoping a move for Real Madrid’s French international is more than just tabloid speculation after seeing their side – who have only bought Petr Cech this summer – produce a listless display during their 2-0 defeat at home to West Ham.

Rotherham to finish higher than and outscore Bolton in the Championship (@tppru)

The fact these two clubs are not particularly geographically linked gives hope to this bet being wagered by a couple united in their love for one another, but divided by their choice of football club.

It wasn’t a great start for the Millers, who were trounced 4-1 at home to MK Dons. The Trotters, meanwhile, took an early lead in this unique head-to-head by holding promotion-favourites Derby to a 0-0 draw.

Of course, Betway also has all the usual betting markets available on our website.
