1. FINNS Beach Club, Indonesia

Taking the crown as the most popular beach club in the world is FINNS Beach Club in Bali, Indonesia. It’s the most searched of all beach clubs in the study, with nearly two million searches per year on Google.

Home to three oceanfront infinity pools, seven kitchens, hundreds of loungers and daybeds, plus party platforms with live music everyday, there’s something for everyone at FINNS.

The perfect place to catch a stunning Balinese sunset, the beachside hotspot also has 170 metres of oceanfront space, so it’s no wonder it’s the second most TikTok’d beach club in the study, with 7,011 tagged posts on the platform. It’s also pretty popular on Instagram too, with 135,202 hashtags.

2. Anjuna Beach Club, France

In second place is Anjuna Beach Club in the South of France. Located at the foot of the Èze Cliffs on the French Riviera, the beach club sees the second highest number of Google searches, at 1.7 million per year. It’s also the second most Instagrammed beach club in the whole study, with 188,975 tagged posts on the platform.

Anjuna is all about its food, offering local cuisine with a Mediterranean focus — think freshly-caught lobster straight from the fishermen’s boats. It also boasts a private beach and daily DJ sets to keep revellers entertained from morning until night.

3. Mistura, Mexico

Mistura in Tulum, Mexico ranks in third. Offering uninterrupted views of Xpu-Ha beach, Mistura is the most TikTok’d beach club in the study, with 9,632 hashtag views on the platform. It’s also popular on Instagram, with 136,194 tagged posts.

The open-air beach club sits under a huge canopy of palapa, lined with white hammocks, red bar stools, and palm-print tables. The renowned restaurant offers a mix of Peruvian and Japanese flavours, with lots of the sea-to-table food coming straight off the beachside grill.

4. Yamba, Portugal

In fourth place is Yamba in Lisbon, Portugal. It’s the most Instagrammed beach club on the list, with 207,247 tagged posts on the platform, though it’s a little less popular on TikTok, with just 3,056 hashtag views.

Self-described as a ‘wholesome beach experience’ Yamba offers a space to recharge and reconnect with nature, with sofas, bedouin tents, and cabanas right on the beach. Plus, they also offer communal laidback meals for visitors to enjoy.

Sadly, Yamba was badly damaged in a fire a couple of years ago, but it’s reopening in spring 2024, and is promising to return with something extra special for guests.

5. La Brisa, Indonesia

Rounding off the top five most popular beach clubs in the world is another of Bali’s hotspots, La Brisa. Nestled on the shore of Echo Beach, it’s the third most searched for beach club on Google, with 1.4 million searches every year.

One of the most eco-friendly venues on the island, La Brisa was built using reclaimed wood from over 500 Balinese fisher boats, and its menu is all about local and sustainable produce.

Despite its oceanfront views and tropical aesthetic, La Brisa is a little less popular on social media than the likes of Finns or Mistura, with just 46,889 tagged posts on Instagram and 3,707 TikTok hashtag views.

The most popular beach clubs in Europe

With all that said, you don’t have to head all the way to Indonesia or Mexico to find a great beach club. From Ibiza to Marbella, Europe is home to some of the best oceanside spots in the world, so we’ve also taken a closer look at the top 10 European beach clubs.
