The data analyzed from Google Trends shows the average yearly search volume for each type of chip flavour in all 50 states and key Canadian cities. The results are fascinating, and they reveal some interesting insights into snacking consumption habits.
Top Potato Chip Searches
BBQ seems to be the undisputed king of the South, taking the top spot in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. Interestingly, Texas is the state with the most searches for BBQ chips by a wide margin.
Out west, California reigns supreme in the search for Sour Cream & Onion chips. They were also the state with the highest overall search volume for potato chips.
Cheese flavoured chips topped the charts in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Wyoming.
