The Detroit Pistons are solid betting favourites on home court tonight against the Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cleveland Cavaliers-Detroit Pistons series has evolved into an entertaining, back and forth, teeter-totter fight, with the series back in Detroit tonight for Game 5.

BEST BETS
Detroit Pistons ATS -3.5 (-115)
The series feels more competitive now, transformed into a physical, bruising battle.
Detroit feeds off the home crowd, where that defensive intensity gets ratcheted up noticeably.
The Pistons’ Cade Cunningham has emerged these playoffs as a true post-season centrepiece, averaging 23.9 points per game, off a 46.1 FG% and 81.2 FT%.
Detroit has been the better team all season, and Cleveland has been struggling to score consistently on the road. In fact they haven’t scored a road victory yet in the 2026 NBA Playoffs, including going 0-3 against the Toronto Raptors at Scotiabank Arena.
I am laying the points with Detroit.
Donovan Mitchell 25+ Points (-190)
Mitchell, like he has all series, will see dominant minutes for Cleveland tonight.
He’s averaged 27.9 points per game, off 48.3 FG% and 86.5 FT%, and is the Cavs’ offensive engine, with 43 points in Game 4. That was highlighted by 39 points in the second half, truly historic.
Mitchell has now gone 35 and 43 in the last two games of the series and will get a ton of shot opportunities again tonight.
While the Cavs are 0-5 on the road so far these playoffs, Mitchell has produced, with 23 points in Game 1 in Detroit, 31 points in Game 2.
Mitchell gets to the line a lot as well, and shoots well enough from deep to clear 25 comfortably on volume.
Over 211.5 (-110)
It goes back to my previous point. Stars like Cunningham and Mitchell are playing big-time minutes. Both teams are leaning heavily on these guys, along with Darius Garland and Evan Mobley.
Both teams are strong in the paint offensively, and they have averaged 214 points per game over the series. Plus the Cavs defence has looked less organized on the road, with the Pistons generating cleaner perimeter looks.
Also, don’t forget – we are four games in, both teams have had time to figure out the opponent’s defensive schemes, and plan accordingly.
