Our Commanders vs 49ers betting picks for NFL Week 6 2026 include odds analysis, best bets, key matchups and picks for your same-game parlay
The Washington Commanders head to Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA, for tomorrow night’s NFL Week 6 Monday Night Football showdown against the San Francisco 49ers as big underdogs, while the 49ers look to strengthen their position in the NFC playoff race.
Oddsmakers expect plenty of offensive fireworks in this one. Can the Commanders keep pace with the 49ers’ attack and make things interesting against the spread?
Game time tomorrow is 8:15 p.m. EST.
Here are my Commanders vs 49ers picks.
Commanders vs 49ers Odds
In NFL betting, the 49ers are heavy home favourites for Monday night’s matchup, with a moneyline of -450 compared with Washington’s +350. San Francisco is favoured by 7.5 points, the Commanders +7.5, with both teams priced at -110. The over/under is set at a relatively high 52.5 points, with both sides at -110, suggesting oddsmakers expect plenty of offensive production.
The Commanders don’t need to win to offer bettors value.
Commanders vs 49ers Betting Picks
With my NFL picks, it’s tough not to take the 49ers’ -7.5 spread at -110 at Betway, my top pick. The 49ers are having a great season, 4-1 against the spread so far, and rank among the NFL’s most efficient offences.
Their quarterback, Brock Purdy, is in the MVP futures conversation and leads the NFL in touchdowns (13) and QBR (85.7), with a strong completion percentage (69.0%) and average yards per pass (8.4).
Washington is 2-3 ATS and has struggled defensively, especially against the pass.
I’m taking the Over 52.5 (-110), given San Francisco’s 30.8 points-per-game average. That Commanders’ pass defence presents opportunities for Purdy, Mike Evans, Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle.
That’s assuming Evans plays. On the injury front, the wide receiver is listed as questionable (ribs), along with DE Mykel Williams (knee), CB Upton Stout (shoulder), S Siran Neal (undisclosed) and DT Gracen Halton (undisclosed).
S Marques Sigle (ankle), DE Nick Bosa (knee/calf), LB Nick Martin (hamstring), LB Garret Wallow (hamstring), WR Christian Kirk (calf), WR Demarcus Robinson (ankle) and WR Deebo Samuel (hamstring) are out.
For the Commanders, S Percy Butler (undisclosed), S Tyler Owens (undisclosed), DT Javon Kinlaw (undisclosed), G Lucas Patrick (undisclosed), S Nick Cross (undisclosed), WR Stefon Digg (hamstring) are all questionable for the game.
LB Javontae Jean-Baptiste (pectoral), DE Charles Omenihu (groin/ankle), RB Jeremy McNicols (quadriceps), QB Marcus Mariota (knee), RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt (groin), LB Jordan Magee (hamstring) are all out.
Key matchups? It’s tough to look beyond Brock Purdy versus Washington’s pass defence.
Purdy is among the league’s most productive quarterbacks, having a great season. Stopping him will be a major challenge, especially given the Commanders’ injury situation.
Another key matchup is on the other side of the ball: Commanders’ quarterback Jayden Daniels versus San Francisco’s defence. The 49ers allow just 97.6 rushing yards and 210.8 passing yards per game. Elite.
Bosa is out, which will definitely give Daniels more room to operate. However, Washington’s offensive line has struggled with protection, while the Commanders rank just 29th in third-down conversion percentage, according to Statz. Can Daniels escape pressure and make plays?
I am going to look to Purdy on the prop front. I prefer 250+ passing yards at -110 at Betway, nearly even-money odds without needing Purdy to throw for 300 yards. The 275+ option at +165 is tempting, but I’ll opt for the conservative route, especially with Samuel out and Evans questionable.
The Commanders are allowing 255 passing yards per game, the fourth most in the NFL.
Commanders vs 49ers Same Game Parlay Picks
I’m going to go Over 52.5 total points, McCaffrey anytime touchdown, and Daniels 40+ rushing, for +375 at Betway. Betting on Daniels’ mobility here, as I expect the Commanders to be chasing the game, forcing Daniels to extend plays.
