Everton meet Manchester United on Sunday afternoon as both teams begin to gauge what they are capable of this season.
We had success with our Manchester United-related Premier League betting Bet Builder last week – landing a 10/1 winner for their game against Ipswich – and the star of the show on that occasion features again here.
Everton, meanwhile, are suffering from bad vibes after the transfer window, during which they let Beto leave but allowed his potential replacement, Florian Balogun, to escape from within their grasp.
Here are our football tips for the 2pm kick-off, producing an 12/1 Bet Builder.
Everton v Manchester United betting tips
Both teams to score 11/20
Bruno Fernandes to register 1+ assist 19/10
Bryan Mbeumo to take 3+ shots 10/11
Marcus Rashford to take 3+ shots 11/10
Both teams to score
Everton have scored in both of their matches so far, but have looked more vulnerable defensively than their goals against column would suggest.
The Toffees were fortunate to keep a clean sheet at home to Crystal Palace on the opening weekend and also conceded just once from 17 shots at Bournemouth last Saturday.
United will fancy their chances of scoring, particularly having found their flow by putting five past Ipswich last Sunday.
Bruno Fernandes was outstanding that day, but Kobbie Mainoo was also excellent – though both players are arguably negatives defensively, with Ipswich proving there is plenty of joy to be had on the counter-attack against them.
Bruno Fernandes to register 1+ assist
Bruno’s hat-trick took the headlines last week, but his superb chipped assist for Bryan Mbeumo ensured he also continued his sensational run of creating.
The playmaker broke the Premier League record for assists last season, with 21, and remains at the hub of all of United’s attacks.
He has now created 10 goals in his last 13 league outings and can do more damage to a vulnerable Everton defence.
Bryan Mbeumo to take 3+ shots
Mbeumo hasn’t had a particularly eye-catching start to the season but continues to post fantastic shot numbers.
The right-winger backed up four efforts on the opening weekend at Hull with five last week, and should keep his place after scoring a late goal against Ipswich on Sunday.
Having managed an average of well over two shots per game across the last three seasons, we are always in the game by backing him for three or more.
Marcus Rashford to take 3+ shots
On the other flank, Rashford reminded us what he is all about with a decent return to Old Trafford against the Tractor Boys.
Despite not finding the net, the England international always churns out a high volume of crosses and shots, which suits us nicely here.
He had four efforts last Sunday, following on from a World Cup during which he had a shot every 18.5 minutes.
Everton v Manchester United odds
Both teams have been involved in watchable games so far this season and we’re hoping for more of the same by backing goals and shots.
If Fernandes can deliver another moment of creative magic, we should have a good shot at landing this 10/1 football betting Bet Builder.
