Monster servers can deliver an ace four-fold at Flushing Meadows

On the first Saturday of this year's US Open, Isner, Anderson, Berdych and Trocki should power their way to a banker accumulator

1/5 – John Isner to beat Jiri Vesely

John Isner remains unbroken in this year’s US Open and it is this relentless ability to keep his scoreboard ticking in the right direction that should see him through against Jiri Vesely.

Isner broke a Grand Slam record in the first round by only losing one point on his first serve during the whole match against Malek Jaziri.

Against Vesely, it is no unfeasible that this could be repeated as the Czech notoriously struggles when returning.

The American, meanwhile, has improved his returns this year and will be extremely confident of having the edge in any tie-breaks considering his 64 per cent career winning record.

2/5 – Kevin Anderson to beat Dominic Thiem

Few players have received as much hype in the last year as Dominic Thiem.

The Austrian has, at times, dazzled on the European clay courts, but he faces tough opposition in Kevin Anderson, especially on the hard US surface.

Anderson is confident having followed his win in Winston-Salem last week with strong performances over Andrey Rublev and Austin Krajicek.

The tall South African has never lost a set to Thiem in their two previous hard-court meetings and should power through again.

1/8 – Tomas Berdych to beat Guillermo Garcia-Lopez

With 44 match wins already this season, few players can match the consistency of Tomas Berdych.

The big Czech should continue his smooth progress through the US Open draw with a comfortable victory against Guillermo Garcia-Lopez.

Far more competent on the clay, Garcia Lopez has never previously reached the US Open third round and, despite beating Berdych on the red dirt, he has struggled badly against him on hard courts.

The Czech destroyed the Spaniard 6-1, 6-2 in their last meeting on this surface and will expect a similar result this time around.

4/5 – Viktor Troicki to beat Donald Young

Donald Young’s impressive run continued with a tough four-set win over Aljaz Bedene, but experienced Viktor Troicki will relish his role of party pooper in the third round.

Troicki has more match wins and titles than his American opponent this season and has enjoyed a far more comfortable passage through to the round of 32, dropping just one set along the way.

Young understandably tired after his gladiatorial second-round win against Gilles Simon and this is likely to affect him against the Serb.

Their only ever meeting was in Monte Carlo, where Troicki outlasted Young, 6-1, 4-6, 6-1. He should do so again on Saturday.

A £10 bet on the four-fold accumulator returns £34.02*.

Money back special: Place a match winner four-fold (or higher) bet on the first week of the US Open and, if one pick lets you down, Betway will refund you with a free bet up to £25.
