Betway Champion Chase hopeful ate up last night and trotted up sound this morning
Sire De Grugy ate up well last night and, importantly, trotted up sound this morning.
I couldn’t have been any more pleased with the way yesterday’s race turned out as he showed all his old signs of zest and enthusiasm for the job. He almost jumped out of Jamie’s hands at the third last – he was a length down at the time and the way he jumped meant he almost got to the front too soon. Jamie was absolutely delighted with him and said he felt back to his best. When you think about it, he couldn’t of done what he did yesterday if he wasn’t back to his best.
As for the next few weeks, he’ll have a quiet week and then we will build him up as we get nearer to the Betway Champion Chase.
