What is Constitution Hill’s race record?
At the time of writing, Constitution Hill has 14 lifetime runs with 10 wins. His most successful year was 2022, with four major wins, but he performed nearly as well in 2023 with three victories.
He’s already racked up close to a million pounds in prize money, and, despite a tough 2025, he remains one of the highest-rated hurdlers ever. In other words, we should not expect to have seen the last of his success!

Cheltenham Festival
To kick things off, let’s head to Cheltenham Festival.
Supreme Novices’ Hurdle
In 2022, Constitution Hill put up a dominant performance to beat Jonbon and the rest of his competition.
Champion Hurdle
Almost exactly one year after his big win in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle, he placed first again at Cheltenham in 2023 – this time in the Champion Hurdle.
International Hurdle
Although he didn’t defend his Champion Hurdle title in 2024, Constitution Hill took first in this Grade 2 race.
Aintree
Aintree has, historically, been a mixed bag for Constitution Hill. He placed first in the Grade 1 Aintree Hurdle in 2023, but lost out to Lossiemouth (and failed to finish) when he returned to race in 2025.
Kempton Park
Constitution Hill has always performed extremely well at Kempton, taking first place back-to-back-to-back in Boxing Day races of 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Other events
Although the majority of Constitution Hill’s big wins have taken place at Cheltenham, Aintree, and Kempton Park, he has also excelled at other tracks around the country; namely, Sandown Park and Newcastle.
Sandown Park
In his first National Hunt race, Constitution Hill took first place on good to soft ground in December 2021. In January 2022, stepped up to Grade 1, he repeated that achievement by taking first in the Tolworth Hurdle.
Newcastle
In November 2022, he took first place at the Grade 1 Fighting Fifth Hurdle with a commanding lead.
Who owns Constitution Hill?
Constitution Hill is currently owned by Michael Buckley, who purchased him in May 2021 for £120,000.
Who is Constitution Hill trainer?
Constitution Hill is trained by Nicky Henderson, who has already had a ton of hurdling success in the 1980s with See You Then. Since then, he has racked up plenty of wins in the Cheltenham Gold Cup and Champion Hurdle (including with Constitution Hill in 2023). Incidentally, we named Henderson among the best Cheltenham trainers.
As a six-time Champion Trainer of National Hunting racing, with three of those wins in the last decade, we’re sure that Henderson would love to make it back to the top of his game with a bit of help from Constitution Hill.
