We are proud to announce that we have signed seven-time Irish National Hunt Champion Jockey Paul Townend as an ambassador.
The deal will see Paul sharing his insights ahead of all the biggest meetings and races throughout the National Hunt season on both sides of the Irish Sea, exclusively on the Betway Insider. Paul’s views will be showcased alongside existing blogs from ITV commentator Richard Hoiles. The four-time Cheltenham Gold Cup winner joins an impressive list of ambassadors that includes football superstar Thierry Henry and cricket legend Graeme Smith.
Paul twice rode Energumene to victory in the Queen Mother Champion Chase – the featured race on Wednesday at the Cheltenham Festival – while it was sponsored by Betway. He also won the Grand National at Aintree on I Am Maximus in 2024, following on from his success partnering the horse to victory in the Irish version one year earlier.
