Switzerland and Colombia clash for a place in the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Vancouver on Tuesday.
Reaching the last eight of the World Cup is a massive carrot for Switzerland and Colombia, who face each other at BC Place, Vancouver, on Tuesday.
Colombia’s only World Cup quarter-final experience came at Brazil 2014, where they bowed out with a 2-1 loss to the tournament hosts.
And Switzerland haven’t reached that stage since hosting the competition in 1954, but both have remained unbeaten at the 2026 event.
It is an intriguing contest and we’ve analysed the stats and browsed the World Cup betting markets for a bet builder which, if successful, returns odds of around 13/2 with Betway.

Swiss set to take the next step
There has been a lot to like about Switzerland and Colombia, who finished top of their respective Groups (B and K) and have continued to impress.
But the Swiss have been getting less attention from the markets and it is they who look overpriced to reach the final eight.
Switzerland’s only setback came in their opening game against Qatar when they conceded an injury-time equaliser and were held to a 1-1 draw.
However, they came storming back from that intense disappointment and are approaching the Colombia match on a three-game winning streak.
Switzerland manager Murat Yakin has made better team selections as the tournament has progressed and they eased to a superb 2-0 triumph over a talented Algeria side in the round of 32.
Facing Colombia could be slightly tougher, but the Swiss look ready for the challenge.
Colombia were worthy sectional winners, having largely dominated their 0-0 draw with Portugal, and they moved on to secure a deserved 1-0 victory over Ghana.
Los Cafeteros are an attractive team to watch, but they have scored just five goals (four fewer than Switzerland) and their offensive struggles could be a hindrance to any further progress.
Leg 1: Switzerland to qualify @ 5/4
Manzambi can make the difference
Johan Manzambi was a substitute in Switzerland’s first two games, but has forced his way into the starting team with a string of eye-catching performances.
The 20-year-old attacker is a rising star with pace and strength, and a powerful shot.
He has contributed three goals and two assists and looks the player most likely to breach Colombia’s solid defence.
Leg 2: Johan Manzambi to score or assist @ 21/10
Dangerous Dan should hit the target
Switzerland’s squad features lots of exciting attacking players, including Nottingham Forest winger Dan Ndoye, who is moving on from an ordinary first season in the Premier League.
Ndoye swapped Bologna for Nottingham last summer and endured a slow start in England with one goal in 24 top-flight appearances.
However, he has looked a threat for the Swiss and netted the second goal of last Friday’s 2-0 triumph over Algeria.
Ndoye tops the Swiss World Cup shot statistics with 11 goal attempts and he looks a solid wager to get at least one on target in the round of 16.
Leg 3: Dan Ndoye to have one or more attempts on target @ 7/8
