Football Tips: Saturday’s BTTS 5-fold

There is another action-packed weekend of football on the cards and Saturday's schedule is busy up and down the EFL, even though there are five Premier League games taking place on Sunday.

We have picked five games that are likely to see both teams score and they combine to form an appealing 17/1 acca.

Saturday BTTS 5-fold

  • Stoke City vs Hull City @ 8/11
  • Leicester City vs Sheffield United @ 8/11
  • Brentford vs Burnley – BTTS @ 19/20
  • Sunderland vs Bournemouth – BTTS @ 3/4
  • Everton vs Newcastle United – BTTS @ 31/40

Stoke City vs Hull City (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Two promotion hopefuls clash at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday as Stoke City host Hull City.

The Potters are now up to second in the Championship after their 3-0 midweek win over Charlton. Stoke have won five of their eight home games this season, scoring 14 goals in the process.

Hull have only won twice on the road, but they have netted 13 times away from home. The Tigers have a fluid attack and will make this game entertaining against one of the main promotion contenders.

Leicester City vs Sheffield United (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Leicester City were humbled in midweek by Southampton as they lost 3-0 at St Mary’s. Before that, the Foxes had gone three games without defeat. At home, they have only won one of their last six matches, but they have scored in four of those fixtures.

They face a rejuvenated Sheffield United side, who are now unbeaten in three games. They have scored three goals in two consecutive matches and will be confident of finding the back of the net against an inconsistent Leicester.

Eleven of Leicester’s 17 league games this season have seen both teams score and they are playing the Blades at the worst possible time.

Brentford vs Burnley (Saturday, 3pm)

Brentford will be expected to beat Burnley at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday, but they may not keep a clean sheet.

Burnley may have only won once on the road, but they have netted nine times away from home. While Brentford have only lost once at home all season, they have only kept one clean sheet during that time.

Keith Andrews’ side have conceded in six consecutive games at home in all competitions, so both teams to score looks good value in this tie.

Sunderland vs Bournemouth (Saturday, 3pm)

A lively game is expected at the Stadium of Light when Sunderland host Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon. The Black Cats have been one of the surprise packages in the Premier League this season and they have won half of their six home games, while they have yet to lose in front of their own fans in the league.

They have only conceded five goals in six home fixtures, but Bournemouth have enough firepower to put a dent in that record. The Cherries are winless in four on the road, but they have scored six during that run and can have their say in this tie.

Everton vs Newcastle (Saturday, 5.30pm)

One of two evening kick-offs takes place on Merseyside as Everton host Newcastle in a game between two teams in mid-table.

Everton are three places and three points better off than the Magpies in 11th, but Newcastle will have every faith they can get themselves on the scoresheet.

The Toffees have only lost once in their new stadium in the Premier League, and only 12 goals have been scored in six games at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Newcastle have only netted three away goals and are winless in the league on the road, but that means there’s more value in the price for this tie.

Eddie Howe’s team have scored all three of those away goals in their last three league outings, and including their Champions League games against Marseille and Union Saint-Gilloise, they have now scored in five consecutive away ties.

Everton have only kept one clean sheet at home in their last four, so we could witness an end-to-end tie on Merseyside.
