Aston Villa to beat QPR –
Having thrashed league leaders Wolves 4-1 on Saturday, Aston Villa are primed for another home win on Tuesday.
Steve Bruce’s side have won five of their last six league matches at Villa Park, and eight of their last 10 overall.
QPR are the Championship’s fourth-worst away team, and have lost their last three on the road.
Sheffield United to beat Burton –
Sheffield United have won three of their last four matches at Bramall Lane, and should have no problem extending that run against Burton.
The visitors have lost their last three away games against top-half sides, and conceded nine goals at promotion-chasing Fulham and Aston Villa in 2018.
Nigel Clough’s side have only scored 26 goals in 36 league matches and are without a goal in their last three, which doesn’t bode well against a side that haven’t conceded more than once in seven home outings.
Wolves to beat Reading –
Wolves could not ask for a kinder fixture to reverse their recent stumble.
Reading’s seven-match winless run has seen them slip closer to the Championship relegation zone, while they have lost five of their six away games at top-10 sides this season.
Nuno Santo’s side have won one of their last five games, but have only lost away at Fulham and Aston Villa on that run, and have still claimed three points from four of their last six league matches at Molineux.
Peterborough to beat Bury –
Peterborough’s 4-1 win over Charlton on Saturday got Steve Evans’ tenure as manager off to a good start, and they can back that up at Bury.
The hosts have not played any top-10 sides in their five-match unbeaten run at home, previously losing to Scunthorpe, Blackburn, Rotherham and Charlton at Gigg Lane this season.
Jack Marriott and Marcus Maddison have scored six goals between them in Posh’s last five matches, and they should fire their side to another victory on Tuesday.
Exeter to beat Yeovil –
Yeovil’s 2-0 reverse to Newport on Saturday was their fourth consecutive defeat, and the prospect of a morale-boosting victory on Tuesday looks slim.
The Glovers are without a goal in three matches and are League Two’s second-worst away team, having only won on the road twice in the league this season.
Exeter were denied a third-straight win by in-form Carlisle on Saturday, but the division’s sixth-best home side should beat their languishing visitors.
