Five fold acca

Look beyond just the English leagues for the best calculated coupon this weekend

After a hectic extended weekend of bank holiday football, most punters will again be trying their luck at the English leagues in an attempt to bash the bookies. Whilst there are a number of bankers to be had in the UK, adding a couple of teams from the European leagues could well build a better value and more reliable 5-fold acca this weekend.

  1. Back Tottenham to further tarnish Villa’s Premier League survival hopes at 8/15

Tottenham’s dominance over Aston Villa in recent seasons has been clear for all to see. Winning all of their last five meetings, Tottenham have cantered to victory bagging two or more goals in all of these fixtures. Villa on the other hand haven’t scored more than once in their last 12 fixtures against Spurs, and with the Premier League’s least potent attack this season (23 goals), this record looks set to continue.

  1. Ipswich to boost play-off hopes against Blackpool at 30/100

Already relegated Blackpool continue to set unwanted records this season. With just 32 goals scored and a mind blowing 80 conceded the Tangerines have become the Championship’s laughing stock. Ipswich Town are a strong outfit at home, winning 60% of their games. Anything other than an Ipswich win against a team that hasn’t tasted victory in their last 20 away games would be equally bemusing.

  1. Southend to down tragic Tranmere 8/15

Southend continue to harbour realistic ambitions of automatic promotion. Five points behind third-placed Wycombe with a game in hand, Phil Brown’s men will understand the significance of three points from all of their remaining fixtures. Fortunately for them, they host a Tranmere side on Saturday who average just 0.85 goals a game, yet concede at least one in their last 16. This combination has resulted in nine defeats in just 12 games for the Rovers, who are now just one place off the bottom of the table. Southend beat a much stronger Tranmere outfit 2-1 earlier in the season. Victory should be far more comfortable this time around.

  1. Back Barcelona to get the better of Sevilla at 4/7

Barcelona look to be returning to their very best after a shaky start to the season. With 19 wins from their last 20 games, including the scalps of Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and Manchester City, the Catalans are in irresistible form. With six wins and 19 goals from their last six meetings against Sevilla, Barca know how to put on a show against the red and whites. Anything other than a strolling away win would be a major shock.

  1. In form Leverkusen great value to beat Mainz 05 at evens

Bayer Leverkusen have admittedly struggled against Mainz in the past, averaging just 1.29 points in their Bundesliga fixtures against them. Things look very different on their trip to the Coface arena this time around however. Bayer are in great form, having just broken a club record by winning five games in a row without conceding a goal. Statistically they lead Mainz in goals scored (49-35) and goals conceded (29-36) and should prove too strong on the day for their lowly placed opponents.

A £10 acca on Tottenham, Ipswich, Southend, Barcelona and Leverkusen pays approx £329.16.
