Champions League tips: A 5/1 Bet Builder for PSG v Arsenal

Tom Hill's selections for the second leg of this Champions League semi-final tie include goals at both ends with PSG's star man finding the net.

A fourth-minute Ousmane Dembele goal gave Arsenal a mountain to climb in the Champions League semi-final first leg last week, and now the Gunners head to the French capital needing to overturn a deficit if they want to avoid another trophyless season.

With yet another domestic title done and dusted, Luis Enrique was afforded the luxury of making ten changes to the side that beat Arsenal in their midweek defeat to Strasbourg, and the well-rested status of Les Parisiens’ stars could make all the difference on Wednesday.

Here are our football betting tips for this second leg, which form a 5/1 Bet Builder.

Goals expected at the Parc des Princes

A single goal was enough to settle the scores in the first leg, but with Arsenal needing to go on the attack in Paris, a more open game should be expected as both teams battle for a plane ticket to Munich.

The Gunners followed last week’s result with a dismal defeat to Bournemouth, but they have scored in 12 of their previous 13 competitive games and their loss last week was the first time they have failed to score in the Champions League since the start of November.

Both teams have scored in four of PSG’s last five home matches, and they should get plenty of opportunities going forward against a visiting side who will be forced to go on the attack at some point.

Talisman Dembele can make an impact

It is safe to say that Ousmane Dembele’s career took something of a nosedive following his big-money move from Borussia Dortmund to Barcelona, but the Frenchman, still only 27 years old, has returned to the spotlight in blistering fashion in his second season in Paris.

He leads the way for shots (175) and shots on target (80) for PSG this season, and he is expected to shake off the knock he suffered last week to start in his club’s most important game of the season so far.

Dembele has had three or more shots on goal in 20 of his last 23 competitive starts for club and country and found the net last week, which made it 33 goals in all competitions this season and 26 since the start of 2025.

He is bound to be a threat on Wednesday, and I expect him to have a few pops on goal and find the net with at least one of them.

Trossard to trouble Parisiens’ defence

The return of Bukayo Saka from injury offered Arsenal a lot of hope last month, but Leandro Trossard’s form has been crucial in their recent games, and the Belgium international looks a big threat for Wednesday’s showdown.

Trossard has scored four times in his last six competitive starts and regularly gives the opposition goalkeeper something to think about.

He hit the target once from two attempts against Bournemouth and tested Gianluigi Donnarumma twice last week, meaning he has registered at least one shot on target in each of his last six starts for Arsenal.
