Champions League tips: 22/1 four-fold for this week’s matches

The Champions League returns for the knockout stages with the first leg of four last-16 ties evenly split across Tuesday and Wednesday.

Reigning European champions Manchester City head to FC Copenhagen and RB Leipzig host Real Madrid in Tuesday’s action, while Wednesday’s slate will see Bayern Munich travel to Lazio and Paris Saint-Germain welcome Real Sociedad to the Parc des Princes.

FC Copenhagen v Manchester City

Manchester City head to the Danish capital on a 10-game winning streak and they are unlikely to be stopped in their tracks by FC Copenhagen, who have conceded seven goals across their last three matches.

The Citizens are firing on all cylinders in the final third and have scored 29 goals during this winning sequence, but they have looked a little shaky at the back and have kept just two clean sheets from their last nine road outings.

Copenhagen have been competitive at home in the Champions League this season, taking six points in total and finding the back of the net six times across those three group games, and they can play their part in an entertaining clash on Tuesday.

RB Leipzig v Real Madrid

With Jude Bellingham set to miss Real Madrid’s trip to RB Leipzig, other players in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad will have to step up to the scoring plate and Joselu looks capable of doing this.

The former Newcastle striker has scored three goals in his last two Champions League outings, while he recently bagged a brace away from home in Madrid’s 2-0 triumph at Getafe.

Lazio v Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga title hopes suffered a huge blow when losing 3-0 at Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend and the Bavarians need to pick themselves up quickly for this trip to Lazio.

Thomas Tuchel’s side have struggled at the back on their travels and that loss at Leverkusen means Bayern have conceded 11 goals across their last five away fixtures.

The reigning German champions still possess enough attacking quality to score against a Lazio side that have kept just one clean sheet from their last four assignments, but the Italian outfit have netted in six of their last eight home games and can do so again on Wednesday.

Paris Saint-Germain v Real Sociedad

French giants Paris Saint-Germain are still searching for that elusive Champions League crown and they will be hoping to put one step into the quarter-finals when hosting Real Sociedad in the first leg of their last-16 tie.

Les Parisiens are 11 points clear in Ligue 1 and already appear to have the title wrapped up at this early stage, so their focus will be firmly on European glory and they head into this contest in fine form.

PSG are on a 16-game unbeaten streak, having lost to AC Milan back in November, while they haven’t tasted defeat in their last 13 home games.

Sociedad arrive in Paris without a win in four, a run in which they have failed to score, and it looks like a tough ask for them to take a positive result back to Spain.
