Enda McElhinney's tips for Tuesday's European action include wins for Arsenal and Real Madrid.
Best bets:
Arsenal to beat Sevilla @ 4/5
Real Madrid to beat Braga @ 19/40
Napoli to beat Union Berlin @ 19/20
Real Sociedad double chance v Benfica @ 4/6
Sevilla v Arsenal (20:00)
Sevilla have won just one of their last seven games and that run looks set to continue when they host Arsenal, who have lost one of their 13 matches this season.
The Gunners showed plenty of resilience to rally from 2-0 down to pick up a draw against Chelsea last time out and beat Manchester City 1-0 before that.
Mikel Arteta’s side were beaten 2-1 by Lens in their last Champions League clash so will be keen to bounce back.
They beat PSV 4-0 in their European opener and that is much more indicative of their level, they should be too strong for their hosts here.
Braga v Real Madrid (20:00)
Braga did well to beat Union Berlin in their last Champions League clash, netting an injury-time winner.
However a matchup against Real Madrid is a significant step up on those opponents and the Portuguese side look set to struggle.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men have won ten of their last 12 matches and sit top of La Liga.
Los Blancos were 3-2 winners in their last European game, getting the better of Napoli on the road.
This is an easier assignment than that and the visitors should win.
Union Berlin v Napoli (20:00)
Reaching the Champions League was a fairytale for Union Berlin but this season has turned into a nightmare for the German side.
The hosts have lost eight games in a row and have fallen to injury-time winners in both of their Champions League matches.
To make matters worse they host the current Serie A champions Napoli.
The Blues have not quite lived up to their form of last season but have won four of their last seven games and beat Braga 2-1 in their first match in this competition, before being edged 3-2 by Real Madrid last time out.
A replication of that form should be more than enough to see off Union, who have a number of injury issues to deal with as well as their poor form.
Benfica v Real Sociedad (20:00)
Real Sociedad have taken four points from their first two Champions League games, drawing 1-1 with Inter and beating Salzburg.
In sharp contrast with that is Benfica, who have lost both of their opening two matches to the same opponents.
Benfica lost the shot count 21-6 against Inter and are yet to net in Europe this season.
The Portuguese side have been in solid form domestically but this is a tougher task than that and they may come up short.
Take Sociedad to maintain their unbeaten start to their Champions League campaign and put themselves in a solid position to reach the knockout stages.
Accumulator odds: 8/1
