In episode one of the original web series, Hammers stars Mark Noble, James Tomkins and Darren Randolph surprise the grassroots club
Betway’s Academy of Football episode one
Betway’s Academy of Football – created in partnership with Soccer AM – is an original web series that follows amateur side West Ham United IFC.
The grassroots club are made up of Hammers supporters and compete in the Internet FA league against other fan sides from all over the country.
Their players – whose day jobs range from swimming teacher to lawyer – recently turned up to play what they thought was any other midweek match against a Betway XI.
And it was… until West Ham stars Mark Noble, James Tomkins and Darren Randolph arrived halfway through to lend some vocal support – and a little bit of stick.
The surprises didn’t end there for the supporters’ club, either…
