Betway Fight Night tips: Get the best insight on the battle between Fnatic and Astralis

Make the most of the widest variety of betting markets in history with our expert picks for best-of-five tournament between two heavyweights teams

The gun barrels are still warm from Sunday and it’s time to do it all again. Are you prepared?

Welcome to Betway’s Fight Night, where two of the world’s best Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) teams – Fnatic and Astralis – face off once again in a best-of-five online tournament.

And best of all, we’ve got all the action covered with more CS:GO markets than any other betting site in history on this match.

But with so many betting choices, how are you meant to decide which to pick? Luckily, our tips are here to help you maximise your returns…

Outright winner

Let’s not beat around the bush here, there’s a reason that Fnatic are 1.25 to win.

They are the world No. 1 team and are undefeated on Fight Night for the last two events running.

They also beat Astralis just two days ago in the Barcelona CS:GO Invitational Final, lest we forget.

However, it could all have been very different.

Despite owning the Inferno map, Fnatic were pegged back level by Astralis several times and repeatedly outflanked on the Terrorist side.

If Dennis hadn’t managed a moment of magic and gone renegading 1vs2 to take Astralis out, they would have been under severe pressure.

Later on, JW’s surprise knife attack stole back the momentum for Fnatic once again when they looked in danger of capitulating.

All in all, Astralis only lost each match by two or three rounds – and plenty of those were, pardon the pun, on a knife edge.

What we’re trying to say is, Astralis to win outright at 3.55 isn’t the craziest bet in the world.

Key superstars

If anyone is going to lead Fnatic to victory, look no further than Robin ‘flusha’ Rönnquist – the captain, rifler and rock of the Fnatic side.

Praised for his cool head and consistency, he’s also a dab hand at racking up kills.

Despite a shaky start in the ESL Barcelona Final on the Dust 2 map, he still managed to rack up 18 kills in the 30 rounds, and then really redeemed himself on Inferno with 57 from 81.

The stats don’t lie – the Swede is in hot form coming off Inferno.

If he can start the same way, you could be in for a real payout if you take the chance.

Flusha is 5.75 to get 2 kills in the opening map of Round 1 tonight, and if you’re feeling slightly less adventurous then 1 kill is still a very decent 2.50.

Correct score

Perhaps the easiest, and at the same time hardest, bet to predict is the correct score.

It would seem simple to say that Fnatic’s dominance means they’ll win 3-0, and 3.00 is a very good price for such an outcome.

But for the reasons listed above, there is every possibility that Astralis might well nick one map or more.

You could play it safe by backing Astralis to win at least one map at 1.32, but a correct score bet of 3-1 on maps to Fnatic is pretty much the same bet and increases the odds to 2.60.

First kill

Sometimes betting doesn’t have to be about form, history or results but rather the instinct and reflexes of the players.

Who will get the first kill of the match?

It could be a supreme distance shot or a knife from close range – it is almost impossible to predict and that is what makes it so exciting.

Fnatic’s odds are slightly shorter as the match favourites at 1.80, so why not take a 50-50 shot and back Astralis at 1.90?

More odds than anyone else. More markets than anyone else. And now, more help than anyone else.
