Arsenal is in after edging Sporting Lisbon 1-0 on the aggregate in the quarterfinals. They won all eight matches – one of the big Champions League storylines. Atletico Madrid held off Barcelona in the quarterfinals to win 3-2 in the aggregate.
The two teams met already in this season’s Champions League, Matchday 3 in the League phase, back in October, at Arsenal Stadium in London, the home squad dominating 4-0.
