Tottenham v Aston Villa Betting Tips: 9/1 Premier League Bet Builder

Two teams who have badly struggled in the opening weeks of the Premier League campaign meet in north London on Saturday lunchtime.

Spurs are yet to even score in four league matches so far this term, though did turn in their best display of the season despite losing to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.

Villa are also winless through four games, taking just one point from a 0-0 draw at Hull City.

Here are our football tips for the 12.30pm Saturday kick-off, producing a 9/1 Bet Builder.

Tottenham v Aston Villa betting tips

Tottenham to win 19/20

Under 3.5 goals 15/40

Pedro Porro to take 2+ shots 1/1

Emi Buendia to take 2+ shots 11/20

Tottenham to win

Both teams have made really poor starts to the season, but there is more of a sense that Tottenham are improving than Villa.

Spurs have had chances in each of their last three games, not least during the 0-0 draw with Everton, and won the shot and xG count at Liverpool in midweek.

Villa, meanwhile, are going to take quite some time to reconfigure themselves having lost so many key starters over the summer.

Roberto De Zerbi’s hosts surely can’t stay goalless for long and this looks the ideal fixture to finally put a win on the board.

Under 3.5 goals

The form of both teams going forward means we shouldn’t count on too many goals, though.

Only one of the eight league matches involving these teams has passed over 3.5 so far this season – Villa’s 4-0 battering at Brighton on the opening weekend – and Spurs’ track record last season is also similar.

Only one of their seven league matches under De Zerbi at the end of 2025/26 featured four or more goals.

Pedro Porro to take 2+ shots

Porro is a great player to back for shots, having made a fast start to the season.

The full-back has had four and two efforts in his two Premier League outings so far this season and has been passed fit for this game.

His attacking nature from right-back is a big part of Spurs’ threat and he can play his part in a better home display.

Emi Buendia to take 2+ shots

Buendia has taken six shots in four games so far this season, including at least two in both of Villa’s away games.

He had five efforts in their Champions League match at Club Brugge, too, so can certainly make an impact on Saturday lunchtime.

The Argentine also scored in this fixture last season.

Tottenham v Aston Villa odds

It feels like the loser of this game will be in a particularly big state of crisis, and we’re backing Tottenham to avoid that with a first victory of the season.

Backing two players who like to take pops at goal for shots also makes sense and hopefully gives this 9/1 football betting Bet Builder a good chance.
