Chardy set to slay defending champion Cilic at US Open

In-form Frenchman a stand-out selection in Flushing Meadows four-fold accumulator

6/4 – Jeremy Chardy to beat Marin Cilic

Marin Cilic produced one of the great sporting upsets to win the US Open last year, but 12 months on, the giant Croatian is lacking in form, confidence, and fitness.

Cilic has failed to claim a title in 2015 and was just a few points away from defeat againstMikhail Kukushkin in the third round.

He may not be so lucky against talented Frenchman Jeremy Chardy, who produced an outstanding performance to oust David Ferrer in the previous round.

1/50 – Novak Djokovic to beat Roberto Bautista-Agut

Novak Djokovic’s utter domination of the men’s game has continued at this year’s US Open.

The Serb hasn’t even looked like dropping a set in his first three matches and this record looks very likely to continue on Sunday.

After trailing by two sets to love Bautista-Agut was a fortunate beneficiary of a David Goffin injury in the third round. He will not progress past Djokovic, though.

4/6 – Feliciano Lopez to beat Fabio Fognini

In what was undisputedly the match of the tournament, Fabio Fognini’s five-set defeat of Rafael Nadal may have finally proved many of the Italians biggest critics wrong.

But there are still flaws in his game, demonstrated by his 7-0 losing record on hard courts prior to this year’s US Open.

Feliciano Lopez is accomplished on the surface and, playing the best tennis of his life, should use his deadly left-handed swing serve to down Fabio.

1/4 – Jo Wilfried Tsonga to beat Benoit Paire

In a much-anticipated battle of the flamboyant Frenchmen, it is Jo Wilfried Tsonga who looks an excellent bet to reach the quarter finals.

Tsonga has yet to hit top form this year, but is yet to drop a set at Flushing Meadows so far.

This run should contnue against his compatriot, against whom he has won both of their previous encouters in straight sets.

A £10 on the four-fold accumulator returns £53.12*.
