Betway becomes international sponsor of Davis Cup and Fed Cup
The deal, which lasts until 2018, was announced by the ITF ahead of this weekend's Davis Cup final between Great Britain and Belgium in Ghent
The International Tennis Federation announced on Wednesday that Betway has become an international sponsor of both Davis Cup and Fed Cup by BNP Paribas until 2018.
Betway was introduced as an international sponsor at the recent Fed Cup final in Prague and will enjoy prominent visibility at this weekend’s Davis Cup final in Ghent.
The betting and gaming company will receive court-side branding at all Davis Cup and Fed Cup ties.
All elements of the partnership are fully compliant with the rules and interpretations of the Tennis Anti-Corruption Programme.
"The ITF welcomes Betway to our family of sponsors," said ITF president David Haggerty.
"To continue strengthening our flagship events, Davis Cup and Fed Cup by BNP Paribas, the support of strong and creative partners like Betway, who will elevate our fans’ enjoyment of the competitions, is an important initiative.
"Betway is a well-respected international betting brand. The ITF and Betway share the mission to keep the sport of tennis clean."
Launched in 2006, Betway operates across a number of regulated online markets and holds licenses in the UK, Malta, Italy, Denmark, Spain, Belgium, Germany and Ireland.
It is also the official principal sponsor of West Ham United and the title sponsor of Premier League Darts and the UK Snooker Championship.
"Davis Cup and Fed Cup by BNP Paribas fit perfectly within our roster of exciting, high-profile sponsorships," said Anthony Werkman, marketing and operations director of Betway.
"We are especially looking forward to this weekend’s Davis Cup by BNP Paribas Final in Belgium as it is a key market for us following our recent launch in the country."
