20/23 – Dallas Cowboys to beat the Miami Dolphins
The Cowboys have lost seven straight games but with Tony Romo coming back, things are about to change drastically in Dallas.
While the team probably leans a little too much on their quarterback, the Cowboys are a far superior team with him at the helm and, even with a 2-7 record, they still have a chance in the NFC East.
Miami’s mini-resurgence under interim head coach Dan Campbell has dramatically ended and it proves that the team just doesn’t have enough talent to sustain a run.
With that in mind, this is a real chance for Jason Garrett’s team to get back on the horse and make a late charge for the playoffs, as unlikely as that might seem.
13/10 – St Louis Rams to beat the Baltimore Ravens
The Rams needed to make a change and removing Nick Foles for Case Keenum might be what they needed on offence to get back into the race for the NFC West.
Todd Gurley has been a revelation and their defence can hang with the best of them, it is just that this St Louis’ ineffective quarterback play has held them back considerably.
The Ravens have pulled out a few tight wins but this is an overrated team with a serious lack of talent on either side of the ball.
Joe Flacco is a solid quarterback but without any weapons and a leaky defence, they won’t have enough to hold off the Rams.
21/10 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers to beat the Philadelphia Eagles
Tampa have been a little tricky to predict this season and they pulled out the ugliest of wins last week against the Dallas Cowboys.
They have some impressive young talent who would be even better if they caught the ball and Jamies Winston is growing at quarterback with every game he plays.
It might sound strange to Eagles fans, but Sam Bradford will be a big miss as he was finally adjusting to the offence and Mark Sanchez is a significant backwards step on previous experience.
Their defence has bad injuries and their best offensive player – Jason Peters – is out, so the Buccaneers have a real chance for an upset in this one.
20/23 – Oakland Raiders to beat the Detroit Lions
Despite two consecutive losses against solid teams, Oakland showed enough in both games to prove they are a growing team.
The one last week came against an elite defence and even though the Raiders have already exceeded expectation, their fans will be looking forward to their progression for seasons to come.
The Lions are a mess and there will be significant changes in the summer to shake up a poor roster and a misguided backroom staff.
They can’t get anything going on offence, their defence has been lacklustre and Oakland will see this as an excellent way to bounce back after a couple of tough weeks.
21/20 – Green Bay Packers to beat the Minnesota Vikings
A classic NFC North bout that would usually go in the favour of the Green Bay Packers, but people are starting to doubt the cheesehead’s prowess.
An abysmal loss last week will elicit a significant reaction and they have too much talent to lose to the Detriot Lions.
The Vikings, despite their record, have been hard to judge as they beat solid teams by close margins by leaning on a good defence.
That, however, won’t be good enough on this one as a fired up Aaron Rodgers eats defences for supper and Green Bay will be desperate to retake control of the division.
