Richard Hoiles: 2 stable winners retained, with 1 new addition
Richard Hoiles tracker update

The racing broadcaster's tracked stable produced two winners on Sunday, both of whom he believes are open to further improvement.

One of the main difficulties of tracker lists is that the horses’ next runs are in the lap of the trainers.

Among our three runners this week, which yielded two winners, were polar opposite examples.

I See You Well, a Plumpton specialist who had won at Sandown in early December, popped up as a 22-1 chance in a decent Ascot handicap and ran as his price suggested he would, dropping out from the third-last. If he were to turn up at Plumpton next time, he would still be of interest, but there is no race for him in their January Premier fixture so he is released.

The other extreme was David Dennis finding a really weak race for Libor Lad (13-8f) at Uttoxeter which he won with a minimum of fuss. He, along with the other winner on the same day, Enjoy Your Life (7-4f), are retained as both look as if they can follow up.

Libor Lad started off a very low mark and will still be well within the 0-100 grade he won in at Uttoxeter. It will be difficult to find a race as weak as that again but his Perth race three back has worked out really well and he’ll be competitive for a while.

Enjoy Your Life has been sent back over fences this season having competed over them as a younger horse in France and his jumping has proved a real asset. Slick once again at Exeter, he also proved his stamina for three miles (the more fences, the better!). His stable of Venetia Williams remain in cracking form and he can progress further up the ratings.

ONE NEW ADDITION

Additions are a bit thin on the ground as a week on the road means I have a pile of races to catch up on, though their may be more later on in the week.

GLOBAL ASSET is our only new recruit for now, who caught everyone’s eye on his third run under an inexperienced rider at Lingfield. A mark of 70 may be harsh on the bare form, but there seemed to be any amount of potential improvement which William Haggas can exploit.

SUMMARY
