We provide our tips for this week's PGA Tour event, with a former major winner primed for success at a brand new links-style course in Dallas.
Back to win: Jimmy Walker – {ODDS:275500374:18/1}
Jordan Spieth is the overwhelming favourite at his home course, but the world No. 3’s recent struggles with the putter mean he’s too short to back at {ODDS:275500181:5/1}.
Instead, opt for Walker, who has found form of late, finishing T2 finish at The Players and fourth at the Texas Open three weeks prior.
The 2016 PGA Championship winner has been one of the world’s best performers in his home state over the past few years, and he won the 2015 Texas Open at TPC San Antonio – a course that should play pretty similarly to Trinity Forest.
An excellent player in the wind, Walker’s finished inside the top 25 in all four of his starts since the Masters and is a great bet in Dallas.

Each-way shout: Marc Leishman – {ODDS:275500400:25/1}
I’d normally look for a bigger price for an each-way pick, but Leishman’s history both in Texas and at links courses makes him difficult to resist.
The Australian has spoken several times about growing up playing in the wind, and his three top-six finishes at the Open between 2014 and 2017 prove that his game is perfectly suited to these conditions.
According to Jordan Spieth, Royal Birkdale is the venue that most resembles Trinity Forest, and that bodes well for Leishman, who posted a T6 at the Scottish course in last year’s Open.
The 34-year-old has twice finished inside the top 10 in his last five starts, and this is a perfect opportunity to earn his first PGA Tour win since September’s BMW Championship.

Outside shot: Russell Knox– {ODDS:275500545:66/1}
Knox has missed back-to-back cuts, but should get back on track in Dallas this week.
The Scot should have a major advantage at Trinity Forest, having played most of his golf in the past few years in America but grown up on links courses in his home country.
The 32-year-old has won twice on the PGA Tour and is an excellent ball-striker. He’s also shown an ability to play well in the wind by twice finishing inside the top three at the usually breezy Honda Classic.
Knox ranks 25th in GIR percentage on the PGA Tour this year – ahead of players like Justin Rose, Ian Poulter and Paul Casey – and 13th in proximity to the hole, but his putter has let him down so far.
If the world No. 126 can find any form on the greens this week, he’s definitely in with a chance.
