Women’s Euro 2025 tips: 12/1 Bet Builder for Sweden v England
Sweden v England

England head for Zurich on Thursday for a Euro 2025 quarter-final showdown with Sweden as the defending European champions look to move one step closer to defending their crown.

Reigning champions England head to Zurich on Thursday for a Women’s Euro quarter-final and will be hoping to extend the defence of their crown.

The Lionesses were in roaring form when hammering Wales 6-1 in their final group-stage contest, but Sarina Wiegman’s side will have more to do against a Sweden team who dominated section rivals Poland, Denmark and Germany.

Bet Builder Selections

  • England to win @ 1/1 with Betway

  • Over 2.5 goals @ 1/1 with Betway

  • Alessia Russo to score at anytime @ 21/10 with Betway

    Bet Builder pays: 12/1

Lionesses can roar

England were beaten 2-1 by France in their opening group game, but the Lionesses have roared back into the tournament.

Key players Alex Greenwood, Lauren James, Lauren Hemp and Georgia Stanway only returned from injury lay-offs against the French and it was always likely for England to take some time to reach their peak.

The defending European champions hammered a decent Netherlands side 4-0, before crushing Wales 6-1 and Wiegman’s side appear to have more to offer.

Sweden downed Poland, Denmark and Germany in the group stage, but the Poles and Denmark are weak sides and Germany gifted the Swedes victory with some shambolic defending and Carlotta Wamser’s red card.

England look a rock-solid first selection in a three-leg bet builder.

Leg 1: England to win @ 1/1

Goals can flow in Zurich

England netted 11 goals in their three group stage matches and that’s no surprise when you consider the attacking options available to the Lionesses.

James, Alessia Russo, Hemp, Stanway, Beth Mead, Ella Toone, Aggie Beever-Jones and Chole Kelly are all pushing for starters against Sweden and it’s difficult to see the Blue and Yellow standing firm against the potent frontline of the Lionesses.

Sweden did hit eight goals themselves in first-phase games against Poland, Denmark and Germany and the 4-1 success over the Germans was a contest of all-out attack.

Over 2.5 goals should click in Zurich.

Leg 2: Over 2.5 goals @ 1/1

Russo ready to strike

A high-scoring England victory should see Russo get on the scoresheet.

The Arsenal forward grabbed her first goal in the tournament against Wales last time out and that should boost the confidence of the 26-year-old.

Russo is the focal point of England’s attack and there is no doubting her quality.

The Kent-born striker scored 20 goals in 41 appearances for the Champions League-winning Gunners last season and she can find the net against Sweden.

Leg 3: Alessia Russo to score at anytime @ 21/10
