With customers taking advantage of our ‘First Goal Wins’ offer, the two most-backed teams this weekend were Tottenham and Liverpool. It was Liverpool backers who ended up happy, with the Reds both scoring first and winning the game to land a 1.71 (7/10) winner.

The longest-priced first goalscorer to be successfully backed was Miguel Almiron, who netted the opener at Wolves for Newcastle at 19.0 (18/1).

The longest winning accumulator of the weekend landed at a massive 1228/1, with picks including Chelsea to beat Burnley, Everton to beat Brighton and Manchester United to beat Norwich.

How our tips got on

Our win-draw-win tips performed solidly on Saturday.

Brentford beat QPR 3-1 to land the win & over 2.5 goals bet at 13/10, before Barnsley saw off Huddersfield at 23/20.

Plymouth also landed an 11/10 winner at Carlisle, but Middlesbrough twice surrendered a lead against Derby and Liverpool’s win at Tottenham did not feature BTTS.

Scunthorpe v Newport (17/20) delivered BTTS, while West Brom were held at Charlton (6/4), keeping us in profit for the day.

Sunday‘s win-draw-win tips got the second half of the weekend off to a good start.

Watford beat Bournemouth to land us a 9/5 winner, before Hallas Verona (6/5) won against Genoa later in the day.

Aston Villa’s late goal against Manchester City saw BTTS land at 31/40, while Cristiano Ronaldo (19/20) scored against Roma.

Our other anytime goalscorer tips fell short, though.
