We analysed the most popular bets in the Premier League for the upcoming 2025/26 season, including overall winner, who will finish top six and the winner of the Golden Boot.
The new Premier League season is finally here, and Betway customers have been placing their bets on the most popular outright markets.
We have analysed the data and can reveal the most popular bets that punters are placing to win the title, finish in the top six and win the Golden Boot.

Unsurprisingly after their summer transfer window, Liverpool are the most-backed team to win the title, with 17 per cent of the bets in the Premier League winner market at Betway being placed on last year’s champions.
After a dominant campaign last season, Arne Slot’s team has spent big and added highly rated talents like Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike to the squad, yet reports suggest the Reds are still not done with the transfer market.
Liverpool are currently priced at 150/1 to win in the Premier League betting.
Despite their struggles last year, the team who received the second-most bets in the title winner market, with 16 per cent, are Manchester United who finished 15th in the 2024/25 season.
With nine per cent of Premier League winner bets, Chelsea are the third-most popular team with Betway customers. Enzo Maresca’s team will be looking to build on their Club World Cup success and have been backed to have another strong season.

Another popular Premier League betting market is the top six. Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion, two clubs who are often closely connected due to recent transfer windows, have both attracted the most bets with 15 per cent each.
After an up and down season of inconsistent form, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are also popular in this market with 11 per cent of bets.

A betting market that is harder than ever to predict in the upcoming Premier League season is top goalscorer, with multiple teams investing in new frontmen hoping to land the Golden Boot.
Newcastle’s Alexsander Isak leads current bets with 14 per cent, despite reportedly refusing to play for his club amid transfer speculation linking him to Liverpool.
Isak is closely followed by Erling Haaland with 11 per cent of bets and Arsenal’s new signing Viktor Gyokeres with 9 per cent.
