Wolves have rallied in the Premier League of late and the Midlanders travel to Brentford on Monday night bidding to continue their recent revival.
The Molineux outfit appeared doomed to Premier League relegation a few weeks ago, but have started to look more organised under relatively new manager Rob Edwards, earning points which have threatened to lift them off the bottom of the table.
A trip south to Brentford provides a golden opportunity for Wolves to maintain their hot streak and keep their dream of top-flight survival alive.
Here are our Premier League betting selections for the game and we have suggested a three-leg Bet Builder which will return at 16/1 if successful.
Brentford v Wolves Bet Builder Tips
Confidence has returned to Wolves’ ranks
Wolves have lost only two of their last seven games in all competitions and they are not certain to be relegated to the Championship if they continue to pick up points until the end of the season.
Edwards have clearly got his methods across to the players and his side have become much tougher to beat, so the Old Gold will approach their trip to the Gtech Community Stadium in positive fashion and look a big price to claim all three points.
Wolves have beaten Aston Villa and Liverpool in their last two Premier League missions, so they have every right to fancy their chances of defeating Brentford.
They have failed to win any of their last three home games, losing 2-0 to both Nottingham Forest and Brighton.
Leg One: Wolves to win @ 17/4
Portuguese winger can trouble Bees
If Wolves do get relegated this season, there will probably be a queue of clubs looking to give Rodrigo Gomes an immediate return to the Premier League.
The 22-year-old winger has a direct approach and is not scared to take defenders on.
If Edwards deploys Gomes high up the pitch against the Bees, he becomes one of Wolves’ most likely scorers, as he can be a defender’s worst nightmare.
Gomes came on in the 89th minute against Villa last month and scored in the 90th minute. Then he came on in the 70th minute against the Reds and netted eight minutes later.
It would seem madness for Edwards to leave Gomes out of his starting line-up in the capital, but if he does come on fresh as a sub, expect an immediate impact.
Leg 2: Anytime goalscorer – Rodrigo Gomes @ 5/1
Attacks should be on top at the Gtech
Brentford fans will be demanding a positive approach at home, as their side chases European football, while Wolves have no choice but to target all three points, given that draws will not be enough to extricate them from their dire position in the table.
The result should be an entertaining fixture, with three or more goals in total.
Expect both teams to score, with Wolves good value to edge the win.
Leg 3: Over 2.5 goals @ 4/6
